  • Microsoft: Windows 10 And Edge Browser Are Very Advertiser-Friendly [View article]
    Piptief,

Hope you're not using Facebook if you care so much about your privacy. What a joke that everyone gets so agitated about privacy and data gathering when most give away their information quite freely on the social networks.

  • Windows 10 Shaping Up To Be A Disaster For Microsoft Shareholders? [View article]
    Charker,

VERY well said. You are spot on. Complainers and whiners get lost or learn how to use a computer. If you don't want to learn, fine; but quit blaming it on MS.

Me, too. Downloaded Win10 as soon as it was available. Loaded it on my two Surfaces....no problems!

Very disappointing article from Alex Cho. I went back to the top to see who had written it. Surprised this was from him.

Here's hoping there are intelligent users out there who understand how to download and customize AFTER they've let the OS download.

  • Is Microsoft Really IBM? [View article]
    Bryan,

I have had a Lumia 929 for about 18 months. It is a fantastic Windows phone. It's a well-built phone that takes the best pictures I've seen taken on any smart phone.

The problem with the Windows phones (that I've encountered) is with the carriers. I have Verizon and they don't even show you a WP when you ask about them. You get such a song and dance. I go directly to a Microsoft store (get better deal anyway) or ordering online whenever I want anything that is Microsoft. I can do my own research and read reviews from users. I, too, have a Surface Pro 3 and a Surface 3 in my house. Both are great devices.

  • Microsoft: The Windows 10 Hardware Argument [View article]
    techy46,

Thank you for your always insightful and knowledgeable posts regarding Microsoft. Always look forward to reading them.

I agree about the whining. It's so exhausting and frankly quite boring.

    Just Some Guy,
Couldn't disagree more with you regarding the first Windows 10 ads. I love them. It shows the future. Guess we all have our opinions. As I replied above to kimboslice, a really horrible ad is the newest Apple iPhone ad. JMO

    kimboslice,

You say MS ad's are inane. Have you seen Apple's, "If it's not an iPhone, it's not an iPhone?" Wow .... that's really genius right? NOT! Guess they're not as perfect as a lot of Apple fans think they are.

Thanks for putting this out about HoloLens. When I read that Microsoft isn't innovative (seen it mentioned several times in response to Seeking Alpha articles) , I have to chuckle after reading this article about NASA using the lens.

    skifun333,

Well I TOTALLY disagree with you regarding Win 8/8.1. It's worked great and the live tiles have been a great experience for me. I've never looked back to the old way of doing stuff.

  • Microsoft Broadens Its Horizons With Cortana [View article]
"Ever tried Bing as a user?"

You bet!!! Been using Bing for several years. I even did the Bing challenge that MS advertised back several years ago. My choices leaned heavily toward Bing. Never going back to Google. Don't see a need to anymore!!!

    ewmpsi,
"The problem is that there are only two people in North America with a Windows Phone"

I guess they must both be living in my house. Oops.... there are three of us with WP! No, we are NOT thinking of switch to Android.

Cortana is great! I especially like her on the MS Band.

  • Microsoft: Transformation To Cloud And Mobile Implies Strong Growth [View article]
    GHackney,
I'd have to agree with Ruffdog. I've been using all the Surface lines from RT, Pro and now the 3 with no issues. Also, upgraded from Win 8 to 8.1 without encountering issues. It was so simple. Curious what you upgraded from. I believe MS is doing all the right things. They are innovative in so many ways. So many think Apple is but they weren't the first with the MP or the phone.... they just are very good at marketing. While that makes them tons of money, let's give MS some credit, too.

Well Microsoft stocks are up over $4 a share. Apple .40 cents. Guess we will have to wait until Monday. I'll just sit back and enjoy my MS Band while all you followers rush to buy the Apple Watch and shell out the big bucks.
    Go Microsoft!
