Corn and Its Industry: The Next Tobacco

What an egregious use of information, try reading a history book instead of using pieces of some poorly run study, to call corn a health risk is just crazy. How about this the more we process/alter food the worse it is for us. Of course corn syrup is horrible for you to eat but corn in its unprocessed state should not be mentioned in the same breath. But if you really want to be eliminate all these “health risks” you should try a chimpanzee diet, because the fact is modern humans have only been cultivating food and eating domesticated animals for about 0.5% of our existence. That short period of time has not been long enough for our digestive systems to evolve to a point were we can properly metabolize these new food sources we have created. Until someone can figure out how to sustain 7 billion people on a diet of food we gather off the ground and wild game we kill with simple tools, the risks of the diet modern civilization has created for itself will remain. So maybe instead of eliminating a staple grain like corn, people should eat processed foods in moderation and exercise. And please make sure to tell your buddies at the rice growers association that the next time they want to do a study to scare people from away from eating an alternative, go after wheat it’s far more destructive to our health and there is an actual disease (celiac) caused by the gluten in it.
