Looks like a 50/50 chance on this one. I ALWAYs pick the wrong 50.
So I'll just hang on to all three stocks of TRA,CF,AG I have and hope for a wash. What I really would like to see is all three get back up to where they were last October when I bought them. At the moment they are up to a negative 45% of the purchase price. but thats better than the -70% two months ago :)

Yeah guys, POTs a great company, it has everything going for it. The stock should be climbing like a monkey by all the indicators. But ya forgot one thing..... I bought a handful of shares. That instantly brings down the share price by 40% by the end of the week.

Regardless of price, the world has to eat. I don't see the logic behind commodity prices and fertilizer stock prices. If the farmer needs a ton of fertilizer he needs a ton of fertilizer, it doesn't matter (or shouldn't) what the price of corn is.

Well the EPA today said the ethanol requirement stays in place. So more corn means more fertilizer means more profits. which means: looking at this weeks POT quotes = less money per share..... Go figure. Logic doesn't play into the stock market anymore.

Well, the low peak averages are still slowly drifting higher. which combines with a profitable company with sound management practices, makes for a long term strategy.
Of course the ups and downs put day traders into arrythmia...
High prices won't reduce fertilizer use very long. If farmers want good yields per acre then they have to fertilze. They might get away with using less one season but thats about it. With the population of the planet exploding food will be in demand. Come to think about it, it already is :)
