Also, the spin off of VRTS from PNX closed the first of the year, and the EX date for distribution of Vertus was back in December. Since the ex date, PNX is up about a buck, but it appears VRTS is not being priced appropriately yet. So while there may still be some opportunity in Phoenix and/or Virtus, it will not be in getting in before the spinoff.
Surprise, Pfizer Study Says Lipitor Beats Generic Zocor [View article]
Making statements like in the last paragraph of this article is irresponsible. While MH may want to justify this action as appropriate to a 'blog', nevertheless, the identical same article was published by CNBC where MH is writing as a reporter and analyst, not as a blogger. He also gave an on-air report where he referenced this article for further reading regarding his conclusion that the study published by Mayo was somehow contradicted by JAMA. I think it is about time for CNBC to fire him. We can't be reading every day an analyst reports from someone with an axe to grind against Pfizer or some undisclosed agenda for constant bashing.
A Primer for Trading Citi This Week [View article]
I don't see anything published by Seeking Alpha where the author does not have a personal profit agenda for spreading rumors and faulty analysis. I would expect to see articles like this on a Yahoo message board, but to validate crap like this with a publisher's name so the short seller can spread negative analysis for personal profit is just criminal.

This writer's case for shorting GE is that he is short GE. You all short GE, drive the price down, he covers and makes money, you lose. Listen to the shorts at your peril. Listen to the longs at your peril. Do your own thinking.
Cranky is right. And it is tiring to keep reading these "news" reports and "analyst reports" that are 100% based on speculation of what MIGHT happen, or what COULD be. I don't even know why I read some of this stuff and any time I can give it a rating I would give it a 0 or 1. The only place it should appear is on a message board along with the other trash.
Don't Cancel Motorola's Funeral Just Yet [View article]
When you are elected to run Motorola by the board of directors, then you can do something with your plans. In the mean time, press credentials are no substitute for business management. In contrast to YOUR OPINION, everyone else thinks that Motorola is making progress. When you write something, please clearly identify YOUR OPINION as your opinion as opposed to facts.
Is Pfizer's Viagra Suffering with the Economy? [View article]
I think you are looking too hard for negatives to justify your job. Specific to your comment, generally YoY results are more meaningful than comparing random quarters. There may be some seasonality to Viagra results, or a random quarter may have been news driven (i.e., blindness news scare) which is relatively short lived.
