  • Opportunity Knocks At Kinder Morgan [View article]
    User 184...,

KMR and EEQ are two that pay their dividends in shares of stock. There is no 1099Div issued when this type of Script Payment is rendered. You are only taxed when you sell, assuming there is a capital gain when sold. If legitimate Tax Avoidance is a major factor in your consideration to purchase then KMR is the clear choice.

I own KMR and adding on the Bear Attack.

Anyone know of other Stocks paying a Script Dividend?

  • A Defined-Term Municipal Bond Fund At A 9% Discount And 5.76% Tax-Exempt Yield [View article]
    Mr. B,

Just sold numerous Muni CEFs to harvest the Capital Gain. Quite a few were Nuveen. I feel Nuveen offers competitive CEFs. The best, safest, way to participate in the Muni Space is to own the Muni Bond, not the CEF or ETF.

Sold out of HYD too. Exposure to Puerto Rico ran me off.

Accumulating ATAX as the only current Tax Free buying.

    >Kinder Morgan is perhaps the best way to participate in the North American energy renaissance in a moderately low-risk manner.< AGREED

The Ukrainian situation may provide a new low? Who knows what the future holds for us investors in Richard Kinder. I'm continuing to add to all my Kinder positions. This is my speculation and not intended to be advice.

Their cashflow from operations during the record cold may be an upside surprise?

  • Is Now The Time To Buy Kinder Morgan As Insiders Invest? [View article]
Certainly appears to be a rotation out of the Kinder's, as with others in this space. I see it as a buying opportunity. Is this the blood in the streets or is a hemorrhage yet to come?

  • Are High-Yield Equities Riskier Than Dividend Growth Stocks? [View article]

    >my guess the market will pick a new sector to fall out of favor sooner or later.<

Taking off on a tangent, forgive me Adam.

Linn and now Kinder are two MLP's offered up as stocks to rotate out of. So far it has proven bad advice as those MLPs continue to thrive. The issue I have today is Who wants us out and Why. The Who part surprises me most recently, being Barrons. The Hedge Eye warning on Linn seems more self serving Fueling a Short Play? But Barrons??? Is Barrons a proxy for Tax Advocates whacking the MLP Universe for avoiding taxation? I can see Barrons stirring up the Real Business "Hard Earned Profit" so it better serves the Common Good "Food Stamps".

Is Barrons now a Liberal Proxy for the far left socalists??

  • Kinder Morgan Energy Partners: Still Not A House Of Cards [View article]
Mr. Conrad and Mr. Gue are worthy Contributors!!

    Why am I ACCUMULATING Shares:
    1) Management>>Richard Kinder and his Staff have accumulated worthy assets, WORTH OWNING.
    2) Frugal>>They appear to be seeking Operational Efficiency in all assets/operations.
    3) Acquiring Growth>>They appear to be seeking other Worthy Assets via Acquisition.
    4) Organic Growth>>They appear to be Growing/Expanding existing Assets.
    5) Protecting Assets>>They appear to be Protecting that Investment by Inspection and Preventive Maintenance.

More Broadly; I do have concern Washington's Taxing Regime has gained a voice through widely read rags like Barrons as a ploy to raid the tax avoidance enjoyed in the MLP Universe. Is Kinder's highly successful business acumen under attack by a proxy in D.C.?

Taxable event avoidance is my goal. DRIP is reported on annual 1099Div. Script Stock Dividends, like KMR does, doesn't trigger the annual 1099Div, only when KMR is sold triggers the Cap Gains (assumes a higher sell price than the average purchase price).

If you know of other Stocks remitting their Div like KMR, then please refer me to that list?

Bear Attacks on some REALLY Good Oilfield Companies of late. GREAT Buying opportunities in Kinder last couple of days.

As Richard Kinder said; You Sell, I'll Buy.

Have my BUY Order in on SDRL!

    Thanks Barrons and Hedge Eye!!!

The Insurance Trust may be able to cover the taxable event upon my demise. I do want my Heirs to receive my KMR Shares (share and share alike) without having to sell them.

Wish I could get the KMR Stock Certificates so I could go ahead and sign them over to my heirs. I'm told you have to be kin to Mr, Kinder to get Stock Certificates issued?

Have asked this question before; Who are the other publicly traded stocks paying shares as their dividend?

  • Kinder Morgan Energy Partners Responds To Criticism [View article]

I made my money in the Oilfield and I recognize the future Richard Kinder has as the Horizontal Drill Bit exploits our Domestic Bounty. I allocated 20% of my personal investments in KM. I am contemplating adding to that allocation in my effort to maintain the 20% in this Barrons/Hedge Eye Induced Slide.

As it relates to LONG TERM Domestic Reserve Exploitation/Transport... Kinder's Foot Print and Richard Kinder's Guidance have me committed. I have never subscribed to the Barrons Rag.

Clayton said it right. Cash Out in this case is an Investment with an expectation of returning 100% of the cash invested PLUS a HUGE PROFIT. The "cash out" is not like your trip to the grocery store.
