    HVI,

Yes it does, but it is spotty, not a blanket deposition or homogeneous. However, I do hope it provides the sorely needed profit during this "Weathering" period for EXCO!!

    Chazsf,

If one annualized first of the month wellhead prices for Oil and Nat Gas from December, January and February it becomes abundantly clear the carnage presenting itself in 2016. That is when the Outside SEC Auditors WRITE DOWN the Reserves of All the Publicly Traded Upstreamers. The old saying of "failing to replace reserves" means you are for sale. Acquisitions and The Bit can replace reserves, and so can INCREASED Wellhead prices.

It will be a Buyer's Market soon. This Assumes OPEC continues to control the Free Market.

Sell all Domestic Upstreamers NOW and wait to see where the investments are later this year.

    Gigem 77,

When do you speculate the stacking of drilling rigs will find a floor in Nat Gas prices? Also, what is your speculation on that price floor?

    Casey,

RBN news indicates acceptable economic returns exist in a Majority of Plays by cutting drilling and completion costs by 25% across the board with wellhead prices at $50/BO and $2.75/MCF. Are the big boys, like EOG, able to negotiate lower, by 25%, their finding costs?

And I'm actually impressed with the Q4 results. However, I am concerned by S&P downgrading their debt. The JV build outs appear worthy. P66 and Spectra own a wad, are respected enough, so I will continue to fight the shorts.

It is becoming clearer the pain many Midstreamers are experiencing. DPM's debt was downgraded today, egads!

Starting to see who the Sellers will be.

    Mr. Gue,

Are you expecting to see increased consolidation of the Midstreamers? What is your portfolio allocation to the midstream space?

The pain of low WTI and Nat Gas prices is now reaching the domestic midstream space. It will likely get much worse as wellhead production begins declining as the trailing result of rigs hitting the grass, and the rigs stay there. The Refiner's appear to be in the sweet spot for the longer term. Eventual broadening of export capability may offer some relief? It will be interesting to watch those accumulating cash/developing credit lines pick the cherries.

DPM reports this afternoon and may shine a light on the health and direction of the Midstream space.

I would appreciate you responding to my questions. I see you refrain answering for some reason?

  • Crude Oil: EIA Report Not As Bad As It Might Seem, But Still No Inflection Point [View article]
OPEC is watching! The Domestic Oil Producers can do more curtailing oil production as well as oil completions as an exhibition of compliance to OPEC's request to eliminate oversupply.

OPEC certainly has a way of getting our attention if they see reluctance here and globally.

A domestic energy policy is worthy of contemplation by our domestic producer organizations! Texas agreed to Prorating production in times of excess supply as a regulatory matter. That may be a starting point?
