  • Kinder Morgan investors approve merger [View news story]
I am a happy camper, very pleased to make a profit. However, I do cringe when the CPA says "here's what you owe in Tax this year". I have had numerous years where Losses reduced, even eliminated, paying Tax. I definitely prefer making a Profit, cringe included!!

Thanks to the Kinder Companies for the Profit!!

  • Martin Midstream Partners' (MMLP) CEO Ruben Martin on Q3 2014 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
I am accumulating on dips after the beat down. Ruben Martin is 2nd generation and growing his company. My bet is on Ruben doing what it takes to find his investors value. Yes, it is a tough time while WTI and related NGL prices dip and that is the time to make the investment if you are optimistic about domestic energy enterprise rising over the next 5 years.

  • General Motors Is A Buy At $30 [View article]
GM will rid themselves of the remaining fleas and the stock rises substantially due to their Sales Revenues Rising. Did the same thing many times, buy/accumulate the beat downs and watch them rise later. Most recently in Kinder Morgan, worked very well! Failed in Kodak, but I doubt GM product befalls the same fate.

My speculation anyway on this Crap Table called Wall Street.

  • U.S. shale producers talking tough in the face of lower oil prices [View news story]
    Moshe,

Putting what you say another way, from a very trusted world wide reserve analyst:
I don’t have a quick way to verify the EIA reserves per shale play, but the U.S. imported approximately 10.6 million barrels per day of petroleum in 2012 from about 80 countries. We exported 3.2 MMbd of crude oil and petroleum products, resulting in net imports (imports minus exports) equaling 7.4 MMbd. Net imports accounted for 40% of the petroleum consumed in the United States, the lowest annual average since 1991. This domestic production has reduced imports which were approaching sixty percent prior to the shale oil contribution. The US is an importer of oil and always will be. “Energy Independence” is a fantasy of politicians.

  • U.S. shale producers talking tough in the face of lower oil prices [View news story]
If WTI continues in decline through Spring 2015, then expect merger mania, those with acquisitional cash buying those unable to satisfy lenders and investors. The derivative play may be natural gas assuming the Winter holds a a substantial consumptive event.

Buy the Acquirers? My bet is on the Midstream space with full odds on the Natural Gas derivative play!

    Casey,

Great insight. Do you think more mergers are on the horizon in the Midstream space? If so, who do you speculate will be in the acquired column?

    Thank You

  • 3 Reasons Why U.S. Natural Gas Prices Will Remain Low [View article]
Wow, one early consumptive event and Nat Gas prices shoot through the roof. More help coming from the weaker producers, curtailing drilling, the weaker being those most threatened by $60 WTI.

Nat Gas reaches $6.00/MCF wellhead if the upcoming Winter Season is a consumptive one! And, if domestic drillers release their oil rigs.

The Midstreamers are the safest bet until WTI finds bottom.

  • Report: Trans Mountain expansion less beneficial than Kinder Morgan says [View news story]
Is KMR still the best buy to receive the biggest bang in the Kinder Merger?

Carl may or may not have much credibility with Mr. Market, we'll wait to see how the stock price moves? May be a buying opportunity or no more than a fly on a bull's back?

Kinder expands in Mexican Markets and GOM Terminaling, trying in Canada. This is a buy/accumulate and hold with a 5 year horizon, for me!!
