  • Alternative Energy Investing For 2013 [View article]
    Mr. Roen,

Informative article. The Wind Gen folks I visit with in Texas indicate their Investments are likely NEVER to Pay Out, Breakeven. Solar has a place and I believe it as a competitive. We are awash in Domestic Oil from the Horizontal Drilling Technology unlocking VAST recoverable reserves. The associated Nat Gas from this Domestic Exploitation is Packing Storages and Pipelines, a HUGE SURPLUS there.

At what Oil price do you speculate Alternative Power Options become Consumer Worthy?

    4) What are your favored Tax Avoidance Plays?

Did you just say the trend is your friend? If so, I'm seeing carcasses that went over the cliff in the stampede trend. I think Mr. Hui is trying to warn you of same?

    Mr. Hui,
I look for your articles, Thanks!! Reading between the lines here; Wall Street blowing Smoke to attract the sidelined cash and Treasury Bond liquidations? Where are you putting the Cash?

The Housing Boom (NEW Houses Being Built) is touted. Where are these Newly Built House located? I currently reside in Texas and was in Dallas for several days this month. All I see is "For Lease" "For Sale" signs on existing Business and Home structures. I'm NOT SEEING the vast numbers of NEWLY BUILT Homes the Hype'sters are touting.

Oil & Gas Mineral Royalties/Overriding Royalties are selling at auction for about 100 months current cash flow. This is Good! Plenty of Buyers too, oversubscribed. It appears the BULL Market is flourishing in this type of Domestic Physical Asset versus the Stock Market. Is the Domestic Equity Market in the Royalty Trust market bottoming?

  • Release The Hounds: Landlocked Oil Starts To Escape To The Gulf Coast [View article]
    Thanks Alex, Flash & AL-W!!! I had these same issues when growing my infrastructure. What was installed 5 years previous was too soon inadequate for the demand/usage. Here is what I learned;
    1) Double the Capacity of the Pipelines
    2) Twin or Triple the number of Pipelines while the Ditch is Open.
    3) All must be Tap Ready and Tap Friendly.
    4) Have as much of your Development/Exploitation Infrastructure follow the Pipelines Path/Route (Roads and Electrification).
    5) Third Party Usage supercharged the PROFIT from original Underwriters.

Now get out of the box and ASK (Intended Ancillary Benefits):
    1) How Sea Water can be sent to those SHALE ASSET EXPLOITERS for Frac Fluid necessities?
    2) How Frac Flow-Back and other Produced SHALE Brines can be removed from the Exploitation Areas?
    3) How Brines can be desalinized and Potable Water be distributed to areas in Short Supply, Municipal and Agricultural?

The TRP/XL Pipeline CAN BE A GAME CHANGER!!!

    Flash,

I was associated with two Discrimination Cases at the Texas Railroad Commission and a Canadian Based Pipeline company. The tiny Independent Texas Producers were discriminated against versus the BIG MAJOR Producers. I experienced the same DISCRIMINATION in 4-H, showing my calf versus the BIG CORPORATE RANCHES. Is it OK for the little to compete with the BIG? Is the color of Little's money the same as BIG'S?

That is a HUGE point AL-W. Does the XL Pipeline have the right to discriminate against our Domestically Produced Crude, in favor of Canadian Crude? I'll drink Maker's Mark over the purple sack ANY DAY!!!

Will Bakken-Eagleford (All Domestic Oil Plays nearby this route) producers be allowed to connect to TRP's Keystone XL pipeline? If Yes, will the need for Rail Car Oil transportation be diminished?

You think the Corporate Bonds are wrung out and CCC's all that yield now? Look at your Municipal Bond Market where we are fighting for diminishing Yield from BBB and lower. Is it the New Normal? The 2nd Administration is doing NOTHING to enhance Credit Ratings or Yield.

Be careful who you vote for!!!

  • Never mind the fiscal cliff and congressional insanity over the near term, says Marketwatch's Paul Farrell. We're facing a whopper of a recession down the road as America and the world economy face the early stages of a long era of “de-growth,” a reversal of economic growth and reduction in market growth as ever expanding world population puts increasing new stresses on all aspects of our life. Start planning ahead for an era of low returns and austerity, says Farrell, as these macroeconomic trends build to critical mass, primed to ignite, explode. [View news story]
It isn't the Sky Falling, it is the Devaluation of the Dollar. Big Ben's Rainbow Stew served up to those who will work, then raked away for the New Normal crowned by Socialism. It is a Chicago Thing so I'm told (Xanax + Ambien = Acorn is OK). And by the way, push the Acorn Prescription back; it makes you thing Everything is just fine and It is OK to kill yourself and others. In spite of ALL that, we slow the devaluing by making a minor profit (After Tax).
