Of course the UAW turned down the Ford (F) contract. Team Obama hasn't been able to turn that company over to them yet.

Wow! I just read Grantham's GMO 3-Q letter. It's an eye opener for sure. So is the article he wrote but didn't publish until now on to big to fail. I highly recommend them.

All of these negative numbers are getting really old. Especially when the spin doctors keep trying to depict them as good. Yippy! The housing industry is stabilizing. Even as mortgage apps decline, consumer confidence declines and investor confidence declines. Do these people actually think any one is buying this stuff any more? Sprint/Nextel (S) has reached a settlement on the class action suit brought regarding their rewards program and will make a hefty pay out to the affected class while admitting no wrong doing. That is a classic example of what is wrong here. No one will admit to making a mistake.

Wow. Oil speculators drove a that huge irrational spike! Ya think? Baltic index has ticked up meaning that dry shippers are doing OK but more importantly it shows that goods and raw materials are starting to move at a higher velocity. I'm not saying it's time for wine and roses but that things may be starting to look up just a bit.
