    At least some of the commodities rising is an illusion through the lens of a falling dollar. Some of it is seasonal as nights get cooler going into winter more consumer money will go to heating fuel and less to other discretionary purchases. I opened a position several weeks ago in Southern Union (SUG) which is up significantly and probably has more up side left as winter comes along and natural gas prices go up as they do every year. Other than that I have taken some profit in the last two weeks and now I am waiting. I am considering opening a position in (HOGS) as a play on the impending chickens VS tires squabble. As usual keep your traveling stops tight and your reserve currency in gold. Good lick all and beware of government agencies offering free assistance.

    There are just too many variables in play right now to even think about calling the recession over. Helicopter Ben is back to cheer leading. On the Citti group debacle there is more toxic waste hidden there than at Love Canal. The sooner Uncle Sugar unloads that zombie the better. The IMF is just about as clueless as the UN and almost as dangerous. After all this economic melt down surprised them too. Thank you Rachel and welcome back. Were you ill or was this a Buhler thing?

    When not as bad as expected is interpreted as good news. And the POTUS runs exclusive infomercials on ABC (ALL Barak Channel) for reforms that will affect us all it's not hard to get dejected. Has anyone seen jounalism? I can't find it any where. I'm surprised Billy Maze isn't plugging the new Scam Wow medical reform act yet. But wait there's more!

    That is a strange paradigm: All indicators are down including the DOW except housing starts. One of those things that make you go HMMMM? Maybe the position I opened in Head Waters (HW) will pan out after all. While I'm still down on the transaction it is showing signs of life. Is that considered a green shoot? Or did I shoot my foot with it?
