Wow the POTUS just figured out that huge deficits are a bad thing. He seems also to have discovered that cutting taxes on small businesses might create jobs. Who would have thunk it? Now if we could get him to give up on the knee cap our trade tax initiative and the cockamamie government run health care take over we might have a chance at recovery. On the jobs front the Senate wants to provide incentives to workers who will take a cut in their hours to avoid lay offs or allow for more part time hiring. Way to save and create jobs. Incentivise less work.

GE must be getting desperate to sell off their security arm which they purchased not long ago for almost the same price.

Of course the UAW turned down the Ford (F) contract. Team Obama hasn't been able to turn that company over to them yet.

Wow! I just read Grantham's GMO 3-Q letter. It's an eye opener for sure. So is the article he wrote but didn't publish until now on to big to fail. I highly recommend them.

All of these negative numbers are getting really old. Especially when the spin doctors keep trying to depict them as good. Yippy! The housing industry is stabilizing. Even as mortgage apps decline, consumer confidence declines and investor confidence declines. Do these people actually think any one is buying this stuff any more? Sprint/Nextel (S) has reached a settlement on the class action suit brought regarding their rewards program and will make a hefty pay out to the affected class while admitting no wrong doing. That is a classic example of what is wrong here. No one will admit to making a mistake.

Bernanke wants the congress to look elsewhere what a shock. Perhaps he dosn't want them disturbing the green shoots. Tim the tax cheat wants to reign in conflicts of interest? How about limiting conflicts of interest by getting Goldman Sachs (GS) and General Electric (GE) out of the white house? What a concept.
