I agree with your points. McDonald's is one of the few companies right now able to report any positive numbers. But I'd have to agree with Marcap that it isnt necessarily cheap right now so its makes the question of buy sell or hold a little more tricky.

Starbucks: Now Most Expensive in Instant Coffee Too!

I think this is something I would at least try. Any Starbucks fan will at least be curious to see if they can deliver quality taste in these instant coffee packets. Not to mention, if they are good, I could see myself using them in the morning because I frankly just dont have the time to go to Starbucks anymore and its not so much an issue of whether SBUX is too expensive or not. This could also bring a new sort of class to making coffee at home. Folgers is just kinda a joke for younger kids..no one wants to be using the coffee their grandma likes. Via is quick,easy and has a reputation that some people may be looking for.

Starbucks Lacks Direction and Soul

They may be late on the boat, but I feel consumers will appreciate the change despite how late it has come. It's not like they are lowering all their prices, they are literally introducing a measly value meal. The $4 latte still exists. Starbucks reputation will contiue to preced itself not matter how hard Howard tries to change it but at least in the meantime consumers can sorta catch a break. I honestly think SBUX is cheap at this point but you've got to be in it for the very very long run. Sentiment is pretty bearish right now (www.predictwallstreet....) so it might even be a better idea to hold out a little longer to get in.
