  • Why Alibaba Should Buy Yahoo, Right Now [View article]
BABA would also need Japanese approval because of the Yahoo Japan connection.

  • Is Qihoo 360 Still A Value Trap? [View article]
BIDU is starting to look good, but it's past 12 month P/E is around 31 while QIHU's is 22 at $54/sh. Further, I've always viewed gaming as the least important leg for QIHU behind search/banner page and security. Why did you choose to focus mostly just on gaming? The loss of the lottery money is also temporary.

  • Qihoo 360: Should Earnings Worry Investors? [View article]
Sorry. I posted this comment under the wrong article. I use my iPad app to read articles, but an upgrade no longer allows me to post comments, so I copied and pasted this reply into the online version of SeekingAlpha, but posted it under the wrong article. This article is good. Thanks.

  • Michael Kors Needs To Be More Like Coach, Believe It Or Not [View article]
I agree with the above comments. I think the issue now is technical. KORS needs to put a floor on their stock price. They need to buy up to the max permitted if the stock gets below say $61 or $62. Putting a floor on the stock will give investors confidence that there is minimal risk downward and the stock could easily increase.

  • Luxury goods brands sue Alibaba over counterfeits [View news story]
I'd have to disagree that counterfeit items don't hurt brands. Many companies vigorously go after imitators that steal their technology, logo, etc. because it does hurt them. For instance, if there are two Gucci bags that look almost identical, many women will stop buying the more expensive one and often look to brands where there are not imitators because they want to stand out or they'll just buy the cheaper one. I've seen this happen first hand (it's often a little snobby in my opinion, but it happens). There are other issues besides just this one that are real, like counterfeit drugs, etc.

  • YY: Growth On Track, Margins Down On Changing Product Mix And Investments [View article]
That makes sense. I think the stock needs consolidate some as well. If it can stay above the 50 day MA for the majority of the next few months and meet its revenue growth and margin stabilization goals, it should have a good 3Q or possibly 4Q surge. The downside also seems limited by its relatively low P/E and the stock buyback.

  • YY: Growth On Track, Margins Down On Changing Product Mix And Investments [View article]
P/E over past 4 quarters is 18.4 with stock at $61.00. This is way too low given the revenue grew over 70% YoY and EPS grew almost 25% particularly given the investments that you laid out in your article assuming the operating margins do improve a little each quarter. However, it will probably be 2016 to make it near your target.

  • YY posts mixed results, guides in-line; shares fall [View news story]
To go along with what Strike is saying, it's P/E over the past year with a stock price at $63.30 is 16.2. This is the stock price of a company growing it's earnings by less than half of what YY is growing its earnings and that doesn't account for the huge revenue growth.

  • INTERNET: Qihoo Gets Global Snub For Misleading Ways [View article]
Previous articles have said that security is not a big revenue driver for QIHU (which I partially disagreed with). Now supposedly security is not only perhaps the top growth driver, but even it's business outside of China is a big driver. Further, a lack of certification is a "scandal"? This seems a little too much like a smear job.

  • Arris Is A Buy: Revenues And Earnings Both Down... Just As Expected [View article]
Thanks. Doesn't it make you feel like a genius for your prediction to come true that quickly? LoL.

I hope that Wall Street doesn't punish Arris because the merger could delay capital spending at Charter & TW by several months although it could increase capital spending longer term (1-3 years). Only Amazon seems to get away with that.

I think AH was originally down because EPS just met expectations. It's up after CC and increased revenue guidance.

  • Can Yahoo's New Search Deal With Microsoft Help To Control Its Spiraling TAC? [View article]
New facts in the article that I didn't know -- thanks. I would also point out that the new search agreement can better let Yahoo improve search, which could improve user experience and help them gain market share. I wouldn't underestimate that. It'll take time for this to occur, but it sounds like Yahoo has been working on this.

  • Alibaba's Hiring Freeze Heats Up The Company For More Efficient Expansion [View article]
I read that Alibaba built the Silicon Valley cloud facility to support its existing customers, which makes sense. They could try to compete against AWS, Microsoft, etc. longer term, but it seems doubtful if they'll try to directly compete against them in the U.S. in the next couple of years.
