Homebuyer Tax Credit: The Moneypit Is Alive and Well [View article]
I agree with 'LivingForDividends'; A small tax credit, which you get as a deduction for buying a home, is a pittance compared to all the other bailouts.
Correct me if I am wrong, but writing $8000 off of one's income is not going to be a tax refund of $8000.
Agree with naysayers here.. There is a reason these Bull Spreads are so cheap to get into, low chance these stocks move up that high that fast in the dog days of summer. I have tried your strategy so many times only to see the stock trade sideways or down. As a matter of fact, I am holding your Bull Call Spread idea for USO from MAY 12 (seekingalpha.com/artic...) and losing money on it.
Just saying.. this is a high risk strategy. My covered calls in WFC, BAC, and F are bringing me better sleep at night.
GE Trade not working out well yet, with the stock dropping 2 points since this December call recommendation.
Tried to follow the USO recommendation and screwed it up. Now I just have a vertical spread instead of this calendar/bearish-verti... thing you have described here. What is the movement in USO that would make that trade work? Down-lateral near term, upward long term?
