I have installed Enphase solar photovoltaic systems for 6 years. I have taken solar courses onsite at SEI in Paonia, Colorado, and I have helped GridAlternatives.org in Colorado install Enphase solar PV systems on low-income family houses. I am a huge fan of solar PV, and I believe free energy from the Sun is the only way to go to insure a bright future for the human race. The fossil fuels should be left in the ground where they belong! Furthermore, the Sun should be used to break the backs of the energy monopolies and decentralize power to the people much like Enphase has mastered with their wonderful microinverter solar technology.

I have a strong interest in the oil and gas industry, especially in Canada. I also tend to take a contrarian view point, and believe in investing heavily during crashes. I consider my investing style to be a disciplined value investor, and try and take the Buffet/Graham approach to investing in predictable and easily understood businesses.
I enjoy studying different trends in the economy and applying these trends to the financial markets.
Finding growth opportunities in undervalued stocks has always been a hobby of mine.

In the series "What's Working". I discuss the fundamentals behind technically strong stocks. The chart may look good but why does it look good. Is the fundamental reason for the move sustainable? Is it too expensive to chase? The goal is to offer you new ideas with a fundamental understanding of why the stock is working; not a complete thesis, a short article to jump start for your own process.
