Why German Customers at Austrian Banks Are Suddenly Silver Bulls [View article]
Oh, I wouldn't bring them in either. I'd let UPS or Fed-Ex send them for me and in complete anonymity. Good for the tax dodging Germans! Exclusive and inclusive legal tender laws HURT US ALL and along with their central bank authors (or scammers), they either need competition from the private sector or they need to have their collective plugs pulled. Legal tender laws are anti competitive and anti free market and have no place in a real (hard) money environment. But like their EASILY manipulated paper money, they aren't interested in any competition. Not when they can just as easily steal it from you fair and square via these legal tender laws.

"Any thoughts, opinions on SLV's direction, or silver in general?"
Yes....up in a general sense. While GLD & SLV have great liquidity & market recognition, I'd only consider those for short term trading....REAL short.
If I was looking for an "investment" instead of a short term trading vehicle, for silver it would be (CEF) and for gold it would have to be (GTU) hands down. Well known, well run, long lived and above all else.....SAFE.
ALEXCO Resource Corp. - AXU - Search here at S.A. They've done a number of write-ups on this outstanding up & coming company.
AXU is a Canadian silver miner with an environmental services company thrown in for good measure. Currently developing the Bellekeno silver mine in the Keno Hills mining district in the northern Yukon, which they were AWARDED (exploration & development with NO prior liabilities) by the Canadian government, in addition to a multi-million dollar mine cleanup/remediation contract in the same area. Anyway....why YOU want to own some of their stock:
May 14th - AXU dips to $1.27
May 22nd - AXU hits/closes @ $1.97 (Today it closed at $2.04)
POTENTIAL PROFIT: .70 per share or 55.1%!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Now the Time for Silver ETFs to Shine? [View article]
I agree. As a trading vehicle and if you believe in silver and precious metals going higher, the silver ETF is a great way to get a little bit of diversification into PM's into your portfolio, although I wouldn't call it an "investment" per se. Especially in the same breath as physical bullion. Still...it has it's place and it's good to see it's heavy and continued use. Silver IS going higher....
The cheapest silver bullion in relation to any premiums charged is still good ol 90% U.S. coinage, more commonly known as junk silver. In fact, I just sold some Yamana and Silver Wheaton shares for a nice profit and decided to buy a "half a bag" (about 357.5 Troy ounces) to hold a little closer to home and until the future is a little....clearer. Oh, I like the producing miners but everyone should have some of those miners' final product stashed safely somewhere. Think about this: Why not hold some 90% silver legal tender that still happens to be....money? (Even you paper dollar fanatics should understand that.)
That last comment was used to incite comments from those that DON'T hold precious metals, as we who do, already know that gold AND silver IS REAL money....and always has been.
"For the average person cash is a safer, more reliable position in a bear market. Gold today is 4.4% lower than it was on July the 15th. Cash is still the same value."
Paper dollars losing value by the day due primarily to government mis-management, inflation, war and being printed out of thin air. Comparing fiat paper money to what the world has used as a secure store of value for oh what? Maybe 5000 years or so?? IS NUTS and if you can't see the insanity of your ways then maybe a dollar collapse (which IS coming) will wake you up. Trouble is by then, soon as YOU see what's happening, it'll be too late. Good luck!! If you're setting on a bunch of greenbacks, YOU'LL NEED IT!!
