The Chubb Corporation: Quality Insurance Company at a Discount

Two things...First, I agree that this company is selling at a huge discount. What makes it so attractive is that we all know some Euro insureres have looked to buy this company in the past..Most notably AXA. If you take the discounted price plus the weak dollar, they could pick this baby up for a fraction of what they originially would have had to pay. It could happen at any time.
On the negative side, if they don't get sold...Finnigan is trashing the Chubb culture and ultimately the "Brand". Good managers are leaving and being replaced by poor managers just to meet diversity goals or with corporate flunlies. If not sold, this dismantaling of a once great company will start to take its toll in the way Chubb is viewed and ultimately results.
