Do any of you understand how Petrosun could become profitable. I know their CEO was in China sometime back, but if any of you understand the company please give me further insight. Thanks

My two of three favorites AAPL and Government Sachs have recovered rather nicely, but I remain perplexed as to why RIG trades with such a lousy valuation. Given the magnitude of offshore oil finds, new contracts and long term global population/standard of living trends one would think this company would get more respect...but that's just me.

BP is doing a lot of things right...I foresee an oil shortage of epic proportions once the global economy recovers. Remember we were running shortages when the US was in recession and the globe was on the verge. There are many factors, well depletion of proven reserves...Mexico running out and who can trust the Saudis and what they have. The credit crisis has accelerated this process. Inflation over spending and deficits will most likely not be the next big one this will and to make matters worse grain inventories are at record lows...so hunger will follow. Tell me if I sound like Marc Faber?
The downgrade happened right at its breakout point. Makes me wonder if they have a committed short position or if their buddies do. In a Madoff world this stuff happens. NOV should do well as PBR will need their service.
NOV has very strong financials/healthy backlog to keep it going in these turbulent times. The Credit Suisse downgrade has no merit. They have been wrong everytime.

I'm assuming today, with the news of the refinery problem, people are just throwing in the towel on COP and probably cursing Buffett as the hit the sell button.

What is the marginal cost of production for nat gas. This is all great, but if companies can't turn a profit, why would they produce more...and at that cost would nat gas be more expensive than gasoline. Just wondering, I'm sure somebody here would know.
