Yes. The CD model is done. The record companies will be forced to adjust to this new way of doing business. If not, labels will cease to exist. You can no longer expect people to pay for a bottle of wine but force them to buy 11 other cheaper wines along with it. The labels should focus on providing customers with better products (ie digital booklets, better music) if sales are down. Raising rates (which, in effect is what this is) to prevent sales is something any Finance 101 student will tell you is inane.
