Great book written by a great man. I have known "Ted" for about 6 years, and he is smart, generous and loyal. In short, Ted is the kind of guy you'd like to have as a neighbor or in-law.

While you raise good points (and I could add to you list), the 'hype' criticism isn't fair. Devon Shire knows his subject, he welcomes fact-based opposing views, and, most important, readers who followed his advice have made money.
