    Typical big government liberal response ! And if Congress doesn't go along, Obama the Imperial President will simply use his pen and phone. Hey stupid... why not offer incentives for companies to staying in the U.S. instead of imposing the highest corporate tax rates of any industrialized country. What's next ? Banning people from leaving the country. Yeah, that's worked well in the past.

  • Texas on Friday became the latest state to sue BP, Halliburton (HAL) and others tied to the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, alleging the parties "engaged in willful and wanton misconduct." The Texas lawsuit asks for money for various reasons including sales and hotel occupancy taxes the state says it didn't receive because visitors didn't go to its Gulf Coast communities due to the spill. [View news story]

    Another waste of taxpayer money that will only delay the unemployed in seriously looking for work and adjusting their lifestyles to match their income. Studies have proven that most of the chronically unemployed only get serious about looking for work the month before their unemployment checks stop. But not to worry, the goverment will not only extend the unemployment benefits, now they will pay your mortgage ! Maybe I'll stop paying my mortgage and let our Socialist government pick up the tab.
