As an investor, I wonder how you could profit from the hundreds of billions the US will need to spend on public transit to compensate for the fact that 99% of infrastructure dollars have gone into highway construction for the last 60 years and much of post WW2 urban America is barely serviced by transit at all. If peak oil is real (and it seems to be to some degree - how will people get around when pump prices hit $10 a gallon, as they must, to create serious demand destruction. Something akin to the 1956 Interstate Highway Act, but for urban transit, will be needed.
