  • Who Moved My Dollar? [View article]
right on jason! The dollar cannot "rebound", there is too much $ out there already due to ENERGY purchases... we will likely spend close to ONE TRILLION DOLLARS for the oil we import in the coming year. Adding directly to the glut of dollars in the trade deficit. The bail outs for the subprime morgage disaster will likely be another 1.5 trillion( not 25 billion ha ha Paulson makes me laugh), and that does not begin to address the credit default swap crisis which will follow....if that mess cleanup rests on the defecit spending of USA govt, its another 2 trillion at least. All this adds to the pile of dollars borrowed and not paid back. The world powers who bought treasury bonds and fannie mae bonds to bankroll our spending spree now see these dollar assets becoming more worthless by the minute....the dollars will com rushing back tp our shores in the great fire sale, all grains will be bid up, scrap metals bought, coal, timber, stock of american corporations, land realestate, etc etc any thing of value besides the dollar which will have less and less value to americans or foreign traders. In the great dollar dump, we will be lucky to afford our own food as we are outbid for it, cash will be king, but dollars won't be cash...it will be Gold, Silver, Energy and food comodities.

The dollar cannot rebound as this nations national debt and obligations are 60 trillion or so. Or debt grows exponentially at 8% per annum and our GDP grows at barely 3% and we are headed for a depress/recession not a dot com boom bubble that could begin to pay down for appearances sake. The world sees that the party is over, uncle sammy ain't able to buy rounds of drinks no more his credit is no good at the bar, his credit card is cutoff.

Sell stocks, cash dollars in for gold my friends there is a fire in the discotech and you know what happens to those who are slow to leave when we all smell smoke.
