  • Petrobras: Opportunity or Trap? [View article]
Good analysis of PETROBRAS, but what about their international partners? They will want their share of any production notwithstanding the politics.

  • Energy Infrastructure MLPs: Among the Very Best High Dividend Stocks [View article]
I am now totally confused about what my exposure is for getting into trouble with the Intrenal Revenue Service about dividends that MLP's pay into my IRA. I own several pipeline partnerships in my IRA. The amount I received in TOTAL each year DOES exceed $1000. Does the $1000 limit protect me from filing a K-1?

No dividends worth mentioning on the horizon. So, buy HGT and enjoy the cash along with the gas play.

  • Will Brazil Really Nationalize Oil? [View article]
I wonder, what would be the affect on Petrobras' oil reserves in the Gulf of Mexico or elsewhere if Brazil appropriates the reserves of foreign oil companies, BG Group, Hess, et al?

  • Chesapeake Energy: Natural Gas Supply Responds to Price [View article]
Chesapeak (CHK) is certainly a compelling story. If everything goes according to projected production, their position in natural gas will rival Petrobras's Santos Basin oil potential.
