Apple: Valuation Doesn't Matter, At Least For Now [View article]
I have a iPhone 5, and it's just what I expected from my iPhone 3G, lighter, slimmer, faster and no battery problems at all. The perfect phone, fits in your pocket and you can do everything with one hand. Just the way they designed it.

Jobs couldn't control what is going on with the economy, or the selling off for profit. Everyone is talking innovation, explain to me what they are supposed to innovate? Their products keep getting better and better. I don't see Samsung innovating.

Apple (AAPL) has seen some ex-employees take shots at it lately. Former sales exec David Sabotta criticized Tim Cook's people skills, hiring acumen, and passion for technology. Former engineer Dan Crow argued the same top-down business structure that allowed Steve Jobs to build an empire is now a liability, since no one can fill Jobs' shoes. And last month, Steve Wozniak called Apple "arrogant" for refusing to make a larger iPhone. "Not all people want the same thing. A lot of people want the big screens." [View news story]
There is a reason there not there. How many people left when Jobs was there and why did he promote Cook? He new he was the right guy
China Telecom (CHA) says it plans to begin selling the iPhone 5 (AAPL +2.2%) in late November or early December, a little earlier than expected. During Apple's FQ4 call, Tim Cook would only say Apple expects a December Chinese launch. China Unicom's (CHU) chairman is more cautious in setting a timetable. Meanwhile, RBC is predicting Apple will finally reach a deal with China Mobile (CHL) in 2013, perhaps even before the Chinese New Year - the iPhone 5 doesn't support CHL's TD-SCDMA 3G network. Hurricane-hardened New Yorkers snapped up the iPad Mini today: Topeka's Brian White reports the flagship 5th Avenue store sold out in an hour. Lines were much smaller elsewhere, though Piper still thinks 1.5M in weekend sales is possible. Meanwhile, Apple (AAPL -3.3%) has been banned from selling the iPhone in Mexico under its current name after a court ruled the name is too similar to iFone, trademarked by a local firm in '03. Like the Chinese iPad dispute with Proview, this will probably end with a payoff. (earlier) Update: The Verge claims reports of a ban are off, though it looks as if the court "ordered Apple to pay substantial fines and perhaps even pull the iPhone from market." [View news story]
