    I will first say that I am very new at this Option thing and find the CC conversations interesting. However, with the market performing like it has since March it seems working in CC's and Puts is more risky than just buying and selling on short term swings. I can understand writing out 6 months or more with a trending market, but right now it would be really risky. If you have to cover your call rights with buying puts how is it that you can guess the severity of the price movements.

    Interesting that strategist are worrying about a down side to the marked in coming days or weeks; I am expecting a significant pull back very soon, not because of perceived fear but because of natural reactions of the market itself. We have experienced 37 trading days without so much as a blip. Fifteen to twenty five days has been the norm for quite some time, this is generally followed by a 3+ percent pullback. (check out Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct of the Dow)
    For me, I'm setting up to take advantage, not worrying over whether or not it will happen, rather anticipating.
