  • Apple Investors: Fasten Your Seatbelts, Put On Helmets [View article]
What you forget is that Apple is a world wide seller of computer and multimedia products. And with the iPhone going global their market is expanding. The U.S. recession will just be a blip to their financials. After 8 years of Bush, the U.S. is no longer the economic engine that drives the world economy. Apple seems to have seen that, while a lot of other companies cling to the past.

  • Microsoft's Zune Tries to Preempt Apple's "Rock" Event [View article]
My 15 year old daughter has never seenanyone with a Zune. Almost everyone she knows has an iPod or maybe a Sandisk but none have ever had a zune. I'm sure someone must have them, but no idea who.

As to IBM and the PC, IBM believed that they would only sell 275,000 PC's over the "5 year life" of the product. By it's official release date they already had about that many orders. Can you imagine the value of IBM's stock today had they had any sense of what they were accomplishing and had lawyers that had protected IBM's interest in dealing with Microsoft?

  • Sarah Palin: Wall Street's Candidate [View article]
Nice to see all the rightwing nutjobs still support the rightwing nutjob.

After 8 years of a stupid, lying sack of shit running our country and economy into the ground, they want 4 more years of the same. I guess that is great for all the greedy SOBs [Comment edited for abusive language. Commenter put on notice] who thrive off of selling our country down the toilet.

  • Record Companies Starting to Shun iTunes [View article]
CDs are dead. The vinyl album will outlive them. When the record companies die a new model will take over just as the auto replaced the buggy. I wonder if they raised the price on buggy whips just before there were no more buggies?

  • Looking for a Cause for Thursday's Sell-off? Blame Greenspan [View article]
"Until it crashes. Then we need a scapegoat."

scapegoat? The people responsible for regulating (that term is used losely) our economy basically did little or nothing to regulate the criminals. It was all ideology all the time. That includes Mr. Greenspan as well as the Congress.

Just make the numbers look good so bush could be re-elected. That was Greenspan's main job. Now he is full of warnings. Where was he years ago when all this was going like gangbusters. Now its all just busted.
