    In addition, why do you think Pfizer, Cisco, etc. have been sitting on huge cash hoards for years. Smart money knows cash is king, too. Too bad with the massive recession coming they will need their cash to stay afloat!

    During a severe deflationary depression, only Cash and High Grade Bonds are worth holding. Everything else goes down in value. However, the newly capitalistic Russian, Brazilian, Indian and Chinese, along with the 2nd tier Europeans and 3rd world tyrants will plunge into gold, silver, platinum and diamonds, causing the final mother of all bubbles. $1000 will be history as 2/3/4/5k will be the new highs in Gold. Own any Icelandic currency today ? I don't. own PAL, SWC, CDE, GFI and NXG, all beaten down proven producers in mostly safe countries that will clean up.
    Then Gold too will fall, so don't be greedy, but hold on, sell into these major rallies and put money into safe cash and AAA corporates.

    Rate cut today adds to inflationary pressures in the short run as well.
    After this all sorts out in 5-10yrs, oil/ngas/other commodities that people need will still be king.
