There are alot of engineering issues to solve with Hyperloop. To run a tube in a vacuum loop, it needs to be pressurized for the occupant, same issue with current flyng tubes. You have to maintain the loop vacuum, which I will presume harder than keepin a tube pressurized. Then there are accidents and security issues with new method of transport ... yaddi yadda yadda.

  • Apple's Next Big Thing (Probably Not What You Expected) [View article]
Agreed. Apple wouldn't want to get into something unless they are sure they can 1). do it better 2). make lots of money from it. That is why you don't see Apple washing machines.

  • The Xbox One will cost a hefty $499 when it goes on sale in 21 markets in November, says Microsoft (MSFT -1.1%). Though that price includes a bundled Kinect, it could be tough for some gamers to swallow, given the 360 (no Kinect included) currently goes for $200 (4GB flash) and $300 (250GB hard drive). The early reaction on Twitter isn't favorable. Microsoft is also showing off 13 exclusive launch titles at E3, and says a new Halo title will arrive next year. Really? The Game Console without the gamers would just be an expensive tv box set. I've owned the original xbox and 360, from the looks of it, I'll buying PS4 this fall.

  • Malaysia: Is Recent Economic Growth Worth The Cost? [View article]
Just two correction to your historical intro:
"This was finally resolved by the creation of the Federation of Malaysia in 1957."
Federation of Malaya not Malaysia. When Singapore, Sabah, and Sarawak joined, it became known as Malaysia.

"In 1965, the Chinese dominated island of Singapore, under Lee Kuan Yew, was expelled from Malaysia. Lee founded the city-state of Singapore."
Singapore was not expelled, but opted out when they couldn't agree to the constitution that gave broad powers to the monarchs.

  • Yahoo Actually Has Remarkable Potential [View article]
Can you blame Google for being better than Yahoo? They're not monopoly because they're not the only advert medium. There are things I use Yahoo which they are good at, for but the least for search.
