Netflix User Statistics: Reading Between the Numbers

Assuming that a person/family would watch the same amount of movies each month regardless if they had Netflix or not, a couple things that must be considered in the calculations are those couple things that make Netflix most attractive. If you didn't have Netflix and got your movies from the neighborhood movie rental place, on average, how far is it and how many trips did you make to get your movies and take them back in the family gas guzzler? In any regularity did/do you pay any late fees and how much are those on average?
