First of all I'm not a financial advisor and not much of a writer but I've been in the market since 1981 and I'm a pretty good stock picker. Years ago I bought a book at a library book entitled 'How to Make Money in the Stock Market and it has been my guide ever since. It outlined what to look for in determining whether or not to buy a stock. Here they are in no particular order since I loaned the book out and it somehow never made it's way back home.
* No debt.
* Cash on hand and the more the better.
* Low number of shares outstanding. A supply and demand thing.
* Low share price. The law of small numbers.
* Followed by few analysts
