  • Is Silver Really a Better Investment than Gold? [View article]
    PastTense, you may see setbacks in China, India, etc. but these emerging countries will lead the growth in the world over the next century. Billions of people versus roughly 300 million in the U.S. With silver having more industrial uses than gold and being considered a store of value I see it going higher percentage wise than gold over the next 4-5 years. Just my opinion...

    I hear nothing but bashing regarding commodities in the media. You do realize that you're in a gold message board where some people may actually believe in the upside don't you? Also, hopefully you know $800 then is like $2300 now. If you think it's going down that's fine, but make better arguments.

    What do you think the LT tax rate will be when Obama takes office on any investment? 25% which is 3% from gold? Also, physical gold often isn't reported once sold. Some people aren't paying any taxes on gains.... Much better than the "current" 15%!

    Mark&Shark and CLH are my idols. They talk about how smart they are and all the money they'e made on the right calls. I love it when CLH says gold has the same price now as it did in 1980. Do you think he's going to own DZZ for 28 years? No... He'll sell once he's made a comfortable profit which he better realize soon. That is if we believe he actually bought DZZ in March when gold was at a high. Extremely doubtful. Just ingore these guys as they are short gold and never make a compelling argument....

    can you explain to me how cash has been the best investment over the past 8 years versus let's say, any commodity just about? you're also mistaken about gold and deflation. gold benefits there as well, just look at gold during the early 30's (Great Depression).
