What a stupid thing for the US Government to use Google Apps.

If Google ends up losing the government's data, Google isn't on the hook to compensate for losses.

the standard GoogleApps agreement does NOT put an SLA stating they will never lose customer data.

Google tells customers they will NEVER lose data, but will not put that guarantee in writing.

Google needs to put their money where their mouths are.

This is why I will NEVER tell ANY customer to use Google Apps. Because Google talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

I resell Postini and Postini will compensate customers for lost email messages. I sure wish Google was a customer driven firm.

This is why Google will never be a serious player in the enterprise business market. The idiots who think they are saving money by using Google Apps now are one step closer to going out of business.

What a dumb ass dork this writer is. There is no mad rush from exchange users to Google Apps! There is a mad rush from Google make everyone believe that Google Apps is a Microsoft killer.

Unless and until Google amasses at least 10M PAID USERS for GoogleApps (currently less than 100K users PAY for GoogleApps) there is no threat to MSFT revenues, period.

And according to Google's latest 10Q report, GoogleApps is nowhere close to being 1% of Google Revenues, no matter what Google Enterprise claims.

Ask 100 people about what Google sells and all 100 people will say paid search. None of those 100 people would say know that Google is trying to be a software company for mission critical applications.

Google needs to spend at least $1B in telling people they are more than just the largest ad agency, ever!

But Google wont spend that money and that is why Chrome will be a niche product.

If there were 2M paid users, Google would break out Google Apps revenue apart from paid search as that revenue number would be more than one percent of total Google revenue.

My firm is a national reseller for Postini and I know for a fact the number of businesses who PAY real MONEY for Google Apps Premier is less than 5,000!
