If Google ends up losing the government's data, Google isn't on the hook to compensate for losses.

the standard GoogleApps agreement does NOT put an SLA stating they will never lose customer data.

Google tells customers they will NEVER lose data, but will not put that guarantee in writing.

Google needs to put their money where their mouths are.

This is why I will NEVER tell ANY customer to use Google Apps. Because Google talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

I resell Postini and Postini will compensate customers for lost email messages. I sure wish Google was a customer driven firm.

This is why Google will never be a serious player in the enterprise business market. The idiots who think they are saving money by using Google Apps now are one step closer to going out of business.]]>

Nowhere to be found, that is where. The president of Google Enterprises uses these pages to boast about the "several hundreds of millions of dollars of profits" that is nowhere to be found inside Google's 10-Q report just filed.

Revenue growth at Google is now single digit.

There are NOT 2M Google Apps PREMIER customers that PAY real $$ for Google Apps.

If there were 2M paid users, Google would break out Google Apps revenue apart from paid search as that revenue number would be more than one percent of total Google revenue.

I just wish that more writers on this site didn't wear kneepads for Google.

My firm is a national reseller for Postini and I know for a fact the number of businesses who PAY real MONEY for Google Apps Premier is less than 5,000!]]>

Given Google's dismal track record in business applications, why would anyone believe that Google will displace MSFT in business applications.

In Google's most recent 10-Q report, the company listed all sources of revenue that is more than 1% of total revenue and there wasn't ANY sources of more than 1% revenue other than paid search.

If Google Apps were generating HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in customers plunking down $50 per user per year in GApps revenue, it clearly would be more than then 1% in Google's own 10-Q report.

Google will generate $25B in revenue in FY 2009. One percent of that number is $250M.

Can the author of this trashy propaganda please explain why the beancounters at Google don't see the same inflated numbers that you choose to publish.

My thinking is this author wastes his time talking to the President of Google Enterprise, Dave Girouard.

Dave Girouard is a LIAR about his divisions contribution to the mothership's numbers.

Dave Girouard knows that GApps is receiving less than $5M per year in PAID GOOGLE APPS customers.

It is pathetic to see corporate executives LIE their balls off to appear greater than they really are!]]>

Businesses don't use GOOG products because nobody knows that Google provides business applications (GoogleApps).

If you asked ten people about products/services Google provides, all ten would say search.

If you ask ten people about products/services MSFT provides, every answer would be Word/Excel (Office).

Google has a much tougher road ahead to prove it has the services and advertising to compete with MSFT.

Today, Google cannot market anything successfully. Very strange for the largest ad agency in the world.]]>

On the other hand, GoogleApps/Docs are interesting and cute, but certainly not ready for Enterprise PrimeTime. We resell Postini and GoogleApps. Postini rocks because people are screaming for email security to protect their Exchange servers.

Google's own 10-Q report states that all of the non-paid search revenue does not amount to 1% of Google revs. Google revs are now $22B per year, so that means that 1% of that number is $220M.
