  • Google Drops a Nuclear Bomb on Microsoft. And It's Made of Chrome. [View article]
    Forgive me if I Yawn!

Google is attempting to revive the VAPOR WARE game of the 1980's and 90's!

Google hasn't earned a single penny of profit on ANYTHING other than paid search, period!

Given Google's dismal track record in business applications, why would anyone believe that Google will displace MSFT in business applications.

Operating systems are a business application, btw!

Just look what Google did with Postini. Google gutted the revenue, goodwill, and people that made Postini famous within the entire IT population.

Wake me up when Chrome ships, if ever!

  • Why Isn't Microsoft's Strategy Working Anymore?  [View article]
I don't discount anything the author mentioned. We have been selling MSFT products to our small business customers since Windows 3.1.

MSFT products are not the most dynamic or the easiest to learn, but now ALL of MSFT office products are the DEFAULT STANDARD for both Enterprise and SMB market.

On the other hand, GoogleApps/Docs are interesting and cute, but certainly not ready for Enterprise PrimeTime. We resell Postini and GoogleApps. Postini rocks because people are screaming for email security to protect their Exchange servers.

GoogleApps suck because nobody is asking for an online word processing/spreadsheet application.

  • Google's OS Model Borders on the Brilliant [View article]
RICK URBAN cuts to the chase. Google is still a one trick pony and don't generate any measurable revenue or profits from any source outside of paid search.

Ad agency is the perfect business model for Google.

Can anyone tell me ANY product or service that GOOG has created or purchased--other than in paid search--that generates more than 1% of total GOOG revenues or 1% of profits?

  • Goldman Goes Ga-Ga over Google [View article]
Assumptions are rampant here. Don't let Goldman Sachs fool you. Google is still a one trick pony with 100% of profits generated from paid search.

  • Google: Where Failure Is Instructive [View article]
I concur with Kmanm and Leftfield.

Google is the worst marketing company, maybe ever. Google Apps is a waste of time and a huge money loser. YouTube is still bleeding.

It is a good thing Google does paid search very well for it subsidizes every other dumb idea that isn't generating revenue's or profit's.

  • Twitter Acquisition Mania: Google Rebuffed, Is Apple Trying Now? [View article]
Twitter as a news platform? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

    What a joke!

There is nothing substantive in a 140 character posting. Try reading a 500-750 WORD posting to stay informed.

Keep on Twittering to your hearts content. The dumbing down of America continues!

Twitter is the most worthless technology I have ever seen since I began to work in technology in 1982.

  • Did Google Overpay for YouTube? [View article]
Google didn't overpay for YouTube. Google's incompetent marketing squad is what it is and that is to say terrible.

Look at all the various projects, er products, that Google has destroyed after either purchasing or developing in house because of terrible marketing:

    -Postini
    -GoogleApps (paid version)
    -YouTube

Google knows paid search and completely dominates that arena and will for many years.

Everything else, Google is very average to very poor in executing their business plan, what ever that plan is!

  • The Next Step for Google: Enterprise Revenue in the Cloud [View article]
Unless and until Google can move FREE gmail and googleapps users to PAID users, Google is still a one trick pony.

Google is currently having zero success is getting FREE googleapps users to actually pay money for googleapps "premier".

Google is the largest ad agency in the world and will never give MSFT a run for it's money with mission critical business applications.

Engineers may dominate paid search, but marketing dominates business applications and Google has pathetic marketing folks within Google Enterprise!

  • Microsoft and Yahoo: It's Not Love, It's Google [View article]
MSFT a one trick pony with operating system? Hmmm...Interesting comment.

MSFT sells $70B worth of application software such as office. GOOG has sold $5M worth of GoogleApps.

MSFT a one trick pony? Hardly! But then GOOG is THE one trick pony with paid search because GOOG has NO other part of their company that generates ANY other source of revenue and profits.
