  • Google Goes After Lotus Notes [View article]
    To APPS User:

On these very pages, Google supporters have stated time and time again that GApps generates literally "hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue"!

Hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue comes from millions of businesses.

    Care to do the math?

  • Google Goes After Lotus Notes [View article]
Where the hell does Google get these numbers?

There are NOT 2M Google Apps PREMIER customers that PAY real $$ for Google Apps.

If there were 2M paid users, Google would break out Google Apps revenue apart from paid search as that revenue number would be more than one percent of total Google revenue.

I just wish that more writers on this site didn't wear kneepads for Google.

My firm is a national reseller for Postini and I know for a fact the number of businesses who PAY real MONEY for Google Apps Premier is less than 5,000!

  • Three Technology Barriers to Cloud Computing [View article]
Email security is the largest user of cloud applications such as Postini (now Google Message Security), Message Labs (now Symantec), ProofPoint, FrontBridge (now Microsoft), and hundreds more firms.

The sum total of paid users on these business-only networks is more than 50M users.

Users of these email cloud services benefit in many ways and 99% of them renew agreements every year.

Google still cannot get 50M paid users for Google Apps or Gmail.

  • Google Addresses Cloud Computing Concerns [View article]
Postini was the best darn mission critical cloud service ever! Until Google got it's hands on it.

Since July 2007, Postini's revenue sunk like a rock because of the incompetence of Google Enterprise senior management.

A once stellar reputation, Postini's service has suffered under the hand of the MotherShipGoogle.

This is troubling for Postini customers.Google is a $25B company.

How does a puny little $50M per year division get any attention?

Especially when it was a $85M per year in July 2007.

  • Setting the Record Straight on SaaS [View article]
SaaS is already a major player in the email security arena where Message Labs (now Symantec), Postini (now Google), and FrontBridge (now MSFT) heartily compete for enterprise and small customers.

Combine the users from all three vendors listed above and you have 120K business and over 30M paying users who love their SaaS based email security solutions.
