What a dumb ass dork this writer is. There is no mad rush from exchange users to Google Apps! There is a mad rush from Google make everyone believe that Google Apps is a Microsoft killer.

Unless and until Google amasses at least 10M PAID USERS for GoogleApps (currently less than 100K users PAY for GoogleApps) there is no threat to MSFT revenues, period.

And according to Google's latest 10Q report, GoogleApps is nowhere close to being 1% of Google Revenues, no matter what Google Enterprise claims.

There are NOT 2M Google Apps PREMIER customers that PAY real $$ for Google Apps.

If there were 2M paid users, Google would break out Google Apps revenue apart from paid search as that revenue number would be more than one percent of total Google revenue.

I just wish that more writers on this site didn't wear kneepads for Google.

My firm is a national reseller for Postini and I know for a fact the number of businesses who PAY real MONEY for Google Apps Premier is less than 5,000!

Microsoft Squandering Cash on a Meaningless Product

Businesses use MSFT because it is the industry standard for commercial business applications.

Businesses don't use GOOG products because nobody knows that Google provides business applications (GoogleApps).

If you asked ten people about products/services Google provides, all ten would say search.

If you ask ten people about products/services MSFT provides, every answer would be Word/Excel (Office).

Google has a much tougher road ahead to prove it has the services and advertising to compete with MSFT.

Today, Google cannot market anything successfully. Very strange for the largest ad agency in the world.

Are you saying we CAN sue MS when Excel calcs wrong (it does sometimes) or when Access corrupts a series of tables (happens a lot) or other things like that? My understanding is that we are on our own when this stuff occurs.
