  • Dumping Apple Makes Sense For Immediate Income Growth  [View article]
Dude! Something in your logic doesn't make sense. If you don't like the dividend why did you buy it in the first place? The answer most likely is that you thought you could get some price appreciation out of it. Since the dividend hasn't substantially changed you must now be selling because of the lack of price appreciation, not because of the dividend. And, APPL most likely be revising the dividend shortly and perhaps announcing a share buyback. So, I really don't really understand why you are selling now. And, more importantly why you wrote this article. Especially for a lousy 50 shares. Frankly, you leave me with a complete WTF after reading it.

  • Intel: Apple's A7 Chip Reveals Dangerous Trend  [View article]
Really refreshing to see someone continue his analysis after making a decision and then change directions when conditions change. Further, you are not placing bets with other peoples money but your own. A successful life involves luck and correct decisions. But, equally or more important is realizing when a decision is incorrect and then changing course. Kudos to you. And, oh by the way I find your analysis spot on . FYI, I dumped Intel some time ago because of some of the reasons you currently mention. My analysis was not nearly as through as yours, perhaps simply more intuitive. Intel is a dinosaur. When Apple won't even use them as a foundry you know something is wrong. Perhaps their only salvation is if Apple buys them for that purpose. Long odds on that though.

You are missing the point Bret. What we are both saying is that your article begins with deception........which doesn't bode well for the rest of it. You need to credit your readers with more intelligence.

Author is misleading on IBM. IBM has had a substantial buyback program in place for some time. They are now extending and increasing it.

I have been an AAPL shareholder since St. Steven returned to his baby. Have added at every dip. And, have moved some AAPL stock from my regular IRA to my ROTH IRA when there are dips (thanks Andy Zaky). Have had to use re-characterization back only once. Not only has AAPL financed my retirement but it has also been instrumental in some minimization of my tax bill. Thanks for a well-written and timely article. Make sure you send a copy to Doug Kass.

Very well-written article by a very "hot" looking author. While easy to read I don't see anything new that I haven't read in other articles. Keep trying. I'll be looking for them. And, why don't you take your own advice and take a bite of the AAPL? I have been buying this dip as I have all the previous one dating back to when St. Steven returned to Apple.
