The Gold Standard: Still Unworkable in the Long Run

the real issue is not whether the gold standard does or doesn't work. The issue is can we trust something as important as "money" to a bunch of greedy (pimps) bankers who control their (whores) congress with a few trinkets. The myth of just a little inflation goes with the other stories ( the check is in the mail .. of course i'll call you tomorrow..)it is too much power for people , it has to be tied to something not controlled by the above and in times when we need more than what is available there must be a accountability ( an actual vote) not back door deals
