agree w/everything you said…I'm hopeful Coke Life helps in the U.S., but we all know the growth is international...…..While it is a very dull stock, I'm in it for the dividend which is about the most consistently increased and dependable one out there over the last 60 years……..

For clarity, Do you really think that they would not increase their dividend beyond next year (referring to your last paragraph). We all know that their dividend has increased every year over the last 50 years.....50 years of good times and bad times.... So was looking for clarity from the author. Especially since I own their stock for their incredibly reliable dividend distribution. Thanks.

  • Coke's Future Remains Uncertain, While Pepsi Continues To Thrive [View article]
In 5-10 years, KO will only get 10% of its rev/profits from the US.....check out some of the "per caps of beverages consumed" in China, India, Russia.....
KO will a be a power player long after we are stock for your kids/grandkids.

  • Why I'm Not Selling My Dividend Stocks [View article]
Some companies like ko have increased their divs every year for 40 years. So, buy those and that scenario rarely comes into play

  • Coca-Cola (KO +0.1%) authorizes a new 500M share repurchase program, set to begin when its current plan is completed. The company says its guidance for $2.5B-$3.0B in buybacks for this year remains intact. [View news story]
This will hedge any risk in purchasing (to the extent a Company can extinguish risk) and prevent large drops in price. But for us old folks that have a lot of shares, we own this stock to just sit around and wait for our quarterly dividend check- ho hum, boring and steady stock, but I sure do like pay day..

  • Was I Too Hard On Coca-Cola? [View article]
Depends on your time frame, this is a great long term dividend machine. It's nice to own this stock and sleep well at night knowing they are so international (with tons of growth left in asia, india, etc.). So, I think people pay a premium for these type things....just my opinion.

We didn't say we were getting rich, we said we were living off the dividends of this 126 year old Company.
