i have tracked eem and compared it to vanguard's emmerging markets fund veiex for years and they seem almost identical.. veiex penalizes you .05% when you liquidate and you have to wait until the end of the day to find out how it did...thanks for the comparison. gbest

how about cef==a canadian fund that physically stores the gold or silver in calgary canada. it is a close end fund that trades at approximatly 14% nav. i would be interested to read what others think of this. you can also buy bullion stored in perth australia thru the euro-pacific fund-this should make it untouchable by our us government, gbest, md
while waiting for the price of oil to go up try the oil royalty trusts yielding huge dividends at current prices. check out us trusts bpt,hgt and sbr. and canadian trusts pgh, hte and pds. when the price of oil resumes it's upward price it the stock will go up for a nice capital gain. also look at freport mcmorran fcx at 32 and paying 6% dividend and with the possibility of a buyout by rio. fcx also has 41 million proven reserves of gold and is the low cost producer of copper in the industry.
