Only a minor investor, more of a major youth development worker, currently at UNH helping to develop and support programs for at-risk young people and families. Have worked for years in not-for-profit programs, and with years of education, a few degrees, and not-much-profit has accumulated. Dabbling with investing helped get one kid thru college, with another on the way. .....I bought my first stock in 1987: Telefonos de Mexico for 26 cents per share. This was before the ADR. It had been selling for 3x earnings, 1/3 book value and was growing earnings 30% per year per a Forbes article. I sold it for a nice profit but sold it waaay too early as it was a 16x bagger quite a number of years ago. :D
