Why I Sold Lufkin and Purchased Quality Systems

QSII is well-managed and competes at the high end. It sells to physician groups, not hospitals. Sales are lumpy: this quarter's "outperformance" offsets last quarter's "miss". I like the support provided by the dividend -- although it has always been a "special dividend". We are probably seeing the latter stages of a multi-year base, but it could be months before it clears the base. I remain on the sidelines.
