Anadigics: Short-Term Inventory Issues; Long-Term Existential Issues

Just FYI, silicon on sapphire is hardly a new technology. It was developed by RCA Labs (now Sarnoff Corporation) in 1977, and for the next 20 years was much favored for electronics used in space vehicles because it was unaffected by exposure to cosmic radiation. Sure took a long time to find its way into cell phones! Wonder why?
