Lithium Ion Batteries and GEVs: False Gods for the New Millennium [View article]
If you can afford the six digit cost for the car, what's another $1700.00?

Straightforward summary on transports and demand. The government has forgotten that stimulus is supposed to help the jobs environment. Instead we have a GDP based on government spending which only increases our debts. Look to Asia for growth.

Another good thought-provoking article. Obama clearly reflects all the ideals of those with whom he chooses to associate. The only change we'll get from this administration is European socialism and mediocre standards for all.

Hopefully the role of government spawned by the CRA act of 1979, the implied guarantees of the FHA, and the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac interactions with the likes of Barney, Chris, and Charlie are in that book as well.
Its really all about the focus and management and product of the three companies. Each is a category "killer." GOOG eats everyone's lunch in advertising and open network, AAPL has the most desired "tech" gadgets, and AMZN is more efficient at selling product than the brick and mortar stores against which it competes.

Those numbers are irrelevant in that they do not account for the fed policy in place at the time. Lower taxes, business friendly climate, etc. Was it called Reagonomics?

Thanks for pointing out that which the enviro-radicals refuse to debate. So many of them have found a new god to worship that they have no tolerance to opposing views.

Thanks for repeating this primer. I have followed your articles for some time now, and appreciate any knowledgeable and nonpolitical report on the alternative energy sector.

Apparently enough readers agree with this article to drive the price up about 9% this AM. The early volume is almost at the daily average volume. So at this point it would be wise to sit back and wait for a better price.

While all of us would like to see more renewable energy in use everywhere, the mandate laws are really just targets to be missed. The governator will not be around to take proper credit for the action anyway, but in the short term he has pleased the green masses.

Good article, but I would venture to say that preventive care is not a priority of the young or the poor or the uneducated. I think it is a concern and priority to the older generation with the money and insurance and time to actually participate in such care. Has a study ever been conducted to actually measure or determine whether this is indeed the case?

The market can't decide with the government and special interests involved. Subsidies and hype are the determinant factor.
