    Start your 10 years from March 2009 and leave GE and the banks out of it. I'm up 50%, so it should be less than 10 years to get the next 50%.

    While feeling around for the bottom, stay invested and collect your dividends. The upside over the mid-term (3-5 years) trumps sitting on the porch today.
