Sirius Needs to Provide the Goods, Now [View article]
Great points, the problem is hopefully they have something good to say! Either way investors need to be reassured in their confidence for this company, especially those who have seen thick and thin with them in the past year. Investors are feeling extremely bullish about this company (www.predictwallstreet....) but SIRI is quick to move into bear territory. If SIRI doesn't give us something to work with fast, I could see sentiment dropping and pulling the price down with it fast.
Isnt "GOOG always a good buy?" Ha ha. Their stock charts may not be compelling but its obvious without them that GOOG will never grow at the rates it did before because it's already infiltrated its market. They may be overpriced if you are looking for dividends. But I do think they are at a reasonable price right now. They will never see the 700's again but sentiment is strong and investors are always confident (www.predictwallstreet....) in Google's ability. After the economy calms down, Google should be back on track.
This is great new for SIRI but I can't help but be hesitant still about them. Must be lingering feelings from the past rollercoaster of a year. Wow, investors are extremely bullish about SIRI www.predictwallstreet.... and seem to be extremely optimistic about its future. This sort of stuff only adds to my trepidation for SIRI as such bandwagon situations usually fall flat after awhile.
Blockbuster's Troubles, And What They Mean for Netflix [View article]
BBI is going out of business for sure. They need a miracle to keep up with Netflix at this point. NFLX is a great company with a lot of potential for growth and an already growing subscription base. Investors love NFLX, sentiment has been more bullish this month www.predictwallstreet.... showing ppl are optimistic about NFLX's future in the upcoming economic troubles.
Good point, user 190816. Although just guessing, I would have to say they have made some contribution as I've slowly seen every McDonalds in my town get a McCafe now and I don't know why they would invest in it if it wasn't doing anything. Anyways, MCD's growing market overseas great for the company and they are really implementing strategies to grow the company in the long-term. Sentiment took a huge drop but is now becoming more bullish www.predictwallstreet.... as investors regain confidence in this company.
Cash growth acceleration is a lot more than any other company can say right now. Despite their great cash position, they have been downgraded by several analysts and sentiment dropped to become bearish (www.predictwallstreet....) in line with dropping PC demand/sales. The holiday period definitely helped Apple out so hopefully they can continue with this position into the next quarters.
Armed for Battle: First Solar vs. SunPower vs. Suntech [View article]
I've always like First Solar. I think they can and will make the cheapest solar panels. Playing catch up, like most these companies will do, is a hard game. FSLR is not even close to what it used to be, but with Obama pushing alt energy initiatives I really think this company has a lot of room to grow. Investors are really confident-sentiment has been extremeley bullish (www.predictwallstreet....) the past few days and has seen a majority of bullish sentiment in the past month.
Verizon: Loathe the Company, Love the Investment [View article]
Couldn't agree with your title more. I have found most conversations I have with their incompetent employee's end with me extremely angry and back to where I started. That being said, the attitude of the company itself is indeed different from the investment side. A majority of investors seem to be bearish on VZ (www.predictwallstreet....) but VZ is a monopoly ( like it or not) and they will gain more and more market share.
Didnt Pal just report pretty dismal quarter results? I see where you are heading with a merger, but I'm not sure Palm is the right choice. Dell seems like they are stuck in a corner-especially with the forecast for slowing PC demand. Unless Dell begins to innovate more and create new products I think investors will remain bearish (www.predictwallstreet....) on Dell. I'm pretty pessimistic about their short-term future.
Sirius Lessons in Stock Manipulation [View article]
What is going on in the comment stream here? Anyhoo, I liked this article and from the little knowledge I have on this subject, I thought your argument was straightforward and made sense.
Blockbuster keeps saying bankruptcy is not in any of their discussions but I just don't know if I believe them. If they can rebound that fast, they can drop that fast. Investors don't seem to be too confident in BBI either as sentiment is bearish (www.predictwallstreet....). I'm still feeling pretty pessimistic about the outlook for BBI, especially with Netflix on the rise.
Wall St. Rewards Yahoo Reorganization [View article]
This is really what Yahoo! needed. Anyone can make decisions, but they needed someone to actually make them happen. It's true it may be a long time before Yahoo reaches its potential, but at least now its on the right track. Investors seem happy with Bartz' decisions. Sentiment shot up to become bullish (www.predictwallstreet....) and it appears that investors have some confidence in Yahoos! abilities again.
Dell Gets Ready for a Comeback - Barron's
[View article]
I'm not exactly sure DELL is ready for a comeback anytime soon. It says it in the article- PC sales have plunged. Dell is more exposed to the slump that rivals Apple and Hewlett-Packard. Regardless of what they have on the books, if consumers (or corps.) aren't buying their product, they cant necessarily have a comeback. Investors have been patient long enough and it seems they have finally had it. Sentiment dropped and is becoming extremely bearish (www.predictwallstreet....) and has been down for a few days. Investors just don't have the confidence in Dell right now.
