Interesting read. Thanks. I held (GLUU) during Feb/March for a nice profitable trade. Have now been positioning myself into (MGT) as I think this could yield very strong returns over the next few months.
Why Is The Market Not Buying Apple? [View article]
It's very simple. The market is waiting for the next earnings announcement. The last one put a floor on the stock. The next one will push it above $500 if good. We can then start looking forward to new catalysts which will push the stock higher as new products/announcements are made.
I am using the current weakness to buy more (AAPL) stock as the next two years will be explosive!
Shares of Inovio (INO) rise 16.13% premarket as the company's H7N9 (Avian Flu) vaccine produces a protective antibody response in 100% of animals vaccinated. The HAI titer was 1:130 versus the 1:40 required to demonstrate protection in humans. (PR) [View news story]
This is excellent news. (INO) is a hidden gem among the biotech stocks and people will not be able to ignore it for much longer.
My thesis on the current state of the (AAPL) stock is that the previous earnings report with its goodies of increased stock buybacks and dividends has put a floor on the stock.
I believe it will trade in its current range until the next earnings report when hopefully better iphone sales and better guidance for the next quarter will help push the stock above $500.
There should then be a move upwards leading to the release of the iPhone 5S and the cheaper iphone. If this is met with an announcement of a deal with China Mobile then the stock could erupt in late September otherwise it will probably stagnate at this time until the release of other new products in the latter part of the year.
Those who are patient will be amply rewarded going forward. That is for sure!
Why The Amgen And Cytokinetics Agreement Is Good News [View article]
(CYTK) is looking more and more promising as the weeks pass. In fact I'm starting to think that it could be the next (ACAD). Only time will tell but I hope to be adding to my position in the next week.
Feeling the pressure from Samsung, Apple (AAPL) is mulling the launch over the next year of so-called phablets - iPhones with 4.7" and 5.7" screens - reports Reuters, whose sources include those in the Asian supply chain. Also on the agenda are cheaper iPhone models, perhaps in the $99 range. "They constantly change product specifications almost to the final moment," cautions one of the sources. [View news story]
Sounds like the iPhone has reached the stage of its product cycle when Apple implements a strategy of differentiation just like they did with the ipods when they introduced them in different colours, sizes and price points.
I assume Apple are almost ready to release their new game changing product and the iPhone can gradually take a less prominent role in its range of products.

Thanks for the update Mr Smith.
(CYTK) has been gaining my interest for several months now and the more I read about it the more excited I get. This latest news only reinforces my belief that the company is going places.
Apple (AAPL) roundup: 1) Apple is due to go to court today over allegations that it conspired with five publishers to raise e-book prices. Apple is facing the suit alone after the publishers involved settled with the Justice Department. 2) Apple reportedly signed a licensing deal with Warner Music over the weekend as it looks to launch a music-streaming service at its developer conference next week. Apple still needs to finalize agreements with Universal Music and Sony (SNE). 3) Google (GOOG) is set to seize Apple's crown for mobile apps in the next few months. While Apple downloads tops those of Android by 50B to 48B, the monthly rate is 2.5B vs 2B in Android's favor. [View news story]
Google's (GOOG +0.1%) sell-side PTs have been surging as shares continue trading above $900 following a torrent of I/O news. The I/O news demonstrates "Google remains one of the most innovative and forward thinking companies of this generation," gushes Topeka, which has raised its PT to $999. Baird's PT is now at $1,025, and Argus' at $1,065. In some respects, the mood resembles that surrounding Apple not too long ago. [View news story]
My thought exactly. What could possibly go wrong!!

In my experience reverse splits spook bio investors because they think it will be followed by a share offering. This is not a concern with (INO) because they issued more shares a couple of months ago. They now have enough cash to last several months.
