bunch of f'in cry babies!!! you guys need to get a life and stop repeating the same f'in rants about being a crook and screwing the shareholders!! Time will tell and if you can't take it then sell and stop posting your annoying little rants about how you were wrong and dupped into buying this stock.

I am in total agreement with you. They need to get the debt taken care of and once they do (which they will), this will be a great stock because it already is a great company that just needs to get through this tough time!!

I feel sorry for you. you sit there and b!tch about your investment in a spec stock.

$13.00 per subscription, 20 mil subscribers and you are saying they aren't making money. Get a clue. Every company you look at has debt that needs to be refinanced.

If the credit market didn't dry up they would have had the refinancing done by now. In case you forgot, they have till Feb. 09 to get it done. All of you are acting like they have to do this right now.

Hind sight is 20/20. Don't sit here and say your are smarter then people that have run huge corporations, and quite well I might add!!

Give Mel a chance. He is waiting to see if the markets get better to have a chance at refi'ing on reasonable terms.

As far as the reverse split, this is a last resort measure. He doesn't want to do a reverse split anymore than we do but you can't put all your eggs in one basket. You have to have a plan B on anything you do in life and in running a company.

All of you complaining day after day, posting the same posts after every article need to seriously get a life.

If you can't take it sell your stock and get off the boards, otherwise suck it the f up!!!

There are some good things that are coming. This economy will turn around. Stop acting like the world is going to end!! This company will have close to 20 million subscribers. They are making money. Once they refi the debt, which will happen, this stock is off to the races!!

One other thing that is going to happen. Obama is going to push for The Fairness doctrine which will eliminate conservative radio as we know it!!
What do you think the likes of Rush, Hannity and Colmes, fox news are going to do.

They are going to come over to Satrad!! This opens up a potential for many more subscribers!! People that can listen to this type of radio for free are now going to pay for it.

Satrad has not even scratched the surface on its potential. Give this company some time

no one knows the inner workings of a company and why they do things they do. he knows a lot more than us.

Give Mel a break. he just merged the company a couple of months ago. has a lot of debt and he needs time to sort out the merged company.

if anyone can do it mel can. But to sit here and rip him is mis-guided.

1. They issue the new shares
2. Use that money to pay off the debt they have coming due in 09
3. With the money they save the synergies, plus not paying on the debt they bank money,
4. Then with that money plus the money from new subscribers, they purchase back the outstanding shares.

I know it is not that easy but no one could predict the turmoil that the credit markets have become.

That would be my attempt at righting the ship and making this company continue and increase shareholder value.

At this point I have decided to stay long. No guts No Glory!!! Losing all my investment would not bother me as much as if the stock turned around and I missed out on it. Reply |Report abuse

if you vote no to the split you are going to destroy the company and force BK. they are getting everything set in case they need to use the RS. my thinking is that it will not come to that. I could be wrong but I think they will be able to handle the debt without the split.

Getting this ok'd by the shareholders puts more in his arsenal.

don't think for one second that he would want all this work he has done with the merger for nothing.

Obviously if they can get the debt refinanced without the split that is a better option, but if they have too then so be it.
Would you not agree that the main reason this stock is so low is because of the looming debt coming in the new year?
What if they were able to get rid of that debt? Could be a positive thing

The way I am reading into this is that he is issuing more shares. doing a reverse split and using the money to pay off the 09 debt. he is banking on the fact that without the debt over siri's head that the stock will have movement upwards. This will delay the eventual increase in the sp but will help with the soundness of the company

GM/Chrysler Merger Could Be Very Interesting for Sirius

Laying off 80 people and merging sirius and xm together by Novemeber 6th. Mel said he wasn't going to do this but it looks like the interoperable radio is going to be out soon and more subscribers will happen in the 4th Q. Hate to see people lose their jobs but can't have redundant positions. Mel is making the tough decisions to right the ship and make this a powerful country.

I agree. XM really doesn't have programming that I would be interested in except for MLB. That is the reason why I bought Siri in the first place. But I can understand that people may be interestested in Oprah and PGA too
