Republican Bailout Counterproposal? Utterly Idiotic

This SUDDEN Republican concern for the process and particulars of the Bail-out...is really amusing to me!!!

They were in power (Congress (House) and Senate) for TEN YEARS!!! They are the ones who NEVER want OVER-SITE!!! They have (BUSH) VETOED every possible effort by the DEMOCRAT to PASS ANY BILLS, then the REPUBLICAN members of the CONGRESS AND SENATE will not vote (you have to have 61% of the majority) to over-ride any veto...THUS...NOTHING GETS DONE...EXACTLY WHAT THE REPUBLICANS WANT!!! EVERYTHING TO STAY THE WAY THEY WANT IT!!! NO OVER-SITE, NO CHANGE, CORPORATE AMERICA RUNNING RAMPANT ON THE SIDE-WALKS OF WALL STREET!!!

NOW desperation has set in...they have selected a man that most of them don't even talk to anymore because he is so disagreeable and nasty to run as their representative for President! He picks someone who is a real Barbie Doll...can't think, can't talk, has no experience in high finance and foreign affairs!!! (sorry, but sometimes the truth hurts)

THEN, A MAJOR FINANCIAL CRISIS (caused by the lack of rules and regulations promoted by Republicans) OCCURS! Everything seems to be, at least, salvageable! Gallop in the Maverick (that most of them can't stand) and he puts in that if they actually do something BI-PARTISAN that it would look as if they were "selling out" to the DEMOCRATS...AND WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER IF THEY ACT AS IF IT WAS ALL OF THE DEMOCRATS FAULT THAT IT HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE...AND NOW THAT A PROPOSAL AGREEMENT REQUESTED BY THEIR REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT AND HIS REPUBLICAN STAFF...HAS FLAWS!!!

Now comes the moment of truth...OFFER SOMETHING THAT THE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS FEEL IS FOR THEIR PROTECTION!!! WHAT A FARCE!!! THE REAL REASON THAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE PUTTING US SUCH A FUSS IS FOR ATTENTION (#1), SO THAT THEY CAN RESIST AGREEMENT SO THAT THE DEMOCRATS WILL HAVE TO COME MORE TO THEIR SIDE (#2), THEN THE REPUBLICANS WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE IN LESS OVER-SITE AND MORE OF THE SAME POLICIES THAT GOT US IN THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!(#3), LAST, THEY STILL DO NOT WANT TO DO ANYTHING FOR THE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS AND IN ORDER TO GET AN EXPEDITED AGREEMENT SIGNED THEY PUT US, THE TAXPAYERS IN THE MIDDLE AS THE BARGAINING CHIP!!! SAME OLD...SAME OLD!!!

THE REPUBLICANS AND McCAIN THINK THAT ALL OF US TAXPAYERS, THE LESS THAN $5 MILLION A YEAR PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE TOTAL IDIOTS!!! Some taxpayers will never understand, some don't want to think that this could possibly happen, but the reality is the the REPUBLICANS are a VICIOUS GROUP OF SELF-SERVING POLITICIANS (that is the nice word)!!!

They and their cohorts have PANDERED to the SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (those who will donate money and support their campaigns across the United States). THEY INVEST in CORPORATIONS that make mega-money and are so ruthless that they UNDERMINED MIDDLE-AMERICA BY BEING GIVEN TAX INCENTIVES TO "GO ABROAD AND GLOBALIZE" (George Bush)!!!

Now...China and India are LOADED WITH MONEY AND JOBS...AND BENEFITS FROM US!!! CHINA, a Communist Country, has used our money to build their MILITARY STRENGTH, their SPACE VENTURES, and their purchases of oil from IRAQ, IRAN, VENEZUELA, AND RUSSIA!!! THIS IS ALL TRUE AMERICANS!!!

HALLIBURTON has violated SANCTIONS against IRAN and signed in 2004 Multi-Billion Dollar, Multi-Year Contracts to Renovate their old oil refineries and build new ones (Congressional Record (Senate), February 7, 2005, pgs. S1051-S1053)!!! With their money going to off-shore accounts in the Cayman Islands (not paying any U.S. taxes) finally, when they feared OVER-SITE and perhaps LEGAL ACTION by the Democrats now the Majority in the Congress and Senate...they move from HOUSTON TO THE UNITED ARAB EMERITS who has free-trade with IRAN!!! DICK CHENEY'S STOCK OPTIONS WITH HALIBURTON, at the end of 2005, was over 4000%!!!

THE STUPIDITY AND GREED OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND ALSO McCAIN WHO SAT ON HIS HANDS AND DID NOTHING TO STOP THEM...IS NOW AT A SHOW DOWN AT THE O.K. CORRAL!!!

While writing this comment, a pop-up came on my commuter, a vote for the Bail-Out has been made by the Senate MINUS THE SET-ASIDES....See the Republicans bitched and moaned and held the Democrats over a barrel to NOT INCLUDE THE LITTLE GUYS...US...THE TAXPAYERS...at least not for the moment!!! THE REPUBLICANS WANT TO SAVE THEIR TAX PORTFOLIOS AND THEIR ANNUITIES, BUT...ACT LIKE THE BIG PROTECTORS OF US LITTLE GUYS...WHEN REALLY THEY ARE THE USERS AND ABUSERS!!! SAD...SO SAD...BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE REFUSE TO SEE IT...WHEN THE FACTS ARE SO OBVIOUSLY HITTING US SQUARE IN THE FACE!!!

Since 2000, this Administration has siphoned out from all of the "Trust" Funds, such as the Social Security Trust Fund (they have stolen over $1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS alone), the Military Retirement Trust Fund, the Federal Employee Trust Fund, the Railroad Retirement Trust Fund, all of the American Indian Trust Funds and more over
to a total of over $5.2 TRILLION DOLLARS!!! SOME USED FOR THE WAR AND SOME USED TO BACK THE LOANS BORROWED FROM 12 FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR THE WAR AFTER WE RAN OUT! ALL OF THE LOANS FROM THE TRUST FUNDS HAVE NO PLAN TO PAY THEM BACK AND NOW, NO WAY TO PAY THEM BACK!

THE MONEY FOR THE BAIL-OUT??? MORE MONEY TAKEN OUT FROM OUR TRUST FUNDS (money worked for by every American Citizen since the day they started working) to put into the Federal Reserve in order to use as Collateral AGAINST THE LOAN THAT WE HAVE TO BORROW ($700 BILLION) FROM COMMUNIST CHINA!!!
HOWEVER, NOW THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE!!! THANKS REPUBLICANS...DO WE WANT MORE OF THE SAME???

I'm Speechless: Palin on the Bailout

First, this young lady is way out of her league!! I am embarrassed for her!

Second, Barack Obama is NOT MUSLIM, NOR WAS HE EVER! A new book out by WHITE Evangelical Minister OF 21 YEARS and has even preached in Jerry Falwell's church, Stephen Mansfield. Mansfield completely investigates Obama from his birth to the present. He stated the truth about his findings and actually, was very complimentary about Obama. The book is the Faith of Barack Obama! He feels that Obama is such a religious person that Obama brings his Evangelical faith forward in every aspect of his life. In fact, Mansfield mentions that if Obama was to become President, that he planned on increasing activities the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives that was started by George Bush.

The name is African FROM KENYA, not from a Muslim Country! Remember folks...he is half white and half black!!! Obama is a full-blown BAPTIZED EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN!!! His father and mother married in Hawaii when both were college students there. They divorced when Obama was two years old. He only saw his real father one other time for a visit before his father died at a young age. His step-father (his mother's second marriage for only a couple of years) took them to Indonesia where Obama attended a Catholic School and then a Government School, he left there when he was only 11 years old and his mother divorced the step-father. They then returned to Hawaii and lived the rest of his school years with his WHITE mother in Hawaii. He also was very close to his mother's parents (his grandparents) both WHITE, who had a great deal of influence on him especially after his mother died of Breast Cancer at a very young age! His Grandfather having been a World War II Veteran and his Grandmother having worked in the factories during the war building things for the war effort!

Barack Obama is 51 years old! He is not a young man and worked his way through Harvard Law School after college. Not only was he involved with helping a community who had lost many steel industry jobs, much like the car industry losing jobs over the last eight years, but he was a State Senator (each state has senators that work in each state's capitol) for two years and knows about legislation issues.
He has been a Senator at the Federal Level for over two years, as well! Offering many bills to help the American Taxpayer.

The horrible lies and manipulations about Obama make me wonder if people remember where they all come from. How America started and unless you are a Native American Indian, your families came from some other country!!! England, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Germany and many of the middle-eastern countries, then Chinese have been here for centuries, as well as the Japanese. Now South Americans from all countries and others are here in masses! You all know how the Africans-Americans got here...sadly enough!

America was always known as a MELTING POT...A COMBINATION OF PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD! So when you hear all of the negatives and false information, you'd better look up where McCain was born...in the Panama Canal Zone! Read about how McCain treated his first wife and left her for Cindy, his second wife. How he basically abandoned his kids...he pays only $553.00 a month for his last child at home (as of his 2007 income tax form) and makes over $340,000 a year. They don't even count the Multi-million Dollar accounts of Cindy McCain (John files separately so that he only has to show his to the public). How he called his wife Cindy a C___t when she said something to him about his hair getting thin in front of three reporters in 1992! His entanglement with the Keating Five where he was involved in a scheme as a Senator...this you have to read about. His physically pushing Republican Senators around and yelling at them when he didn't like what they were doing...and pushing 95 year old Thurgood Marshall to the Senate Floor when he disagreed with him! In school, McCain was known as McNasty because he bullied and beat up kids! Yes he was a Prisoner of War, but there have been many before and after him. Not all of them worthy of running this country. I say this as because I have a family with a long-running military back-ground. Grandfather in WWI, Father in WWII, Uncle in Korean War, Brother in Vietnam War and Cambodia, and my son in a R.O.T.C. program.

Obama is for the people, for us, the taxpayers! No Corporation would ever dominate, use or abuse, and rob us again! We would not go to war for no reason other than to secure oil (still some believe the myths). This recession happened after Nixon, after Reagan, now after Bush!!! Does that set a certain pattern for you?

Don't forget that this administration has already siphoned out over $1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS from the Social Security Trust Fund, the Military Retirement Trust Fund, the Federal Employee Retirement Trust Fund, the Railroad Retirement Trust Fund, the American Indian Trust Funds and more TO FUND THE WAR...some of it used to back U.S. Treasury Bonds, used as collateral for the LOANS FROM 12 FOREIGN COUNTRIES THAT WE OWE BILLIONS TO ALREADY!
OVER $600 BILLION OWED TO COMMUNIST CHINA ALONE and that is where they will be borrowing the money for this $700 BILLION DOLLAR BAIL-OUT also backing it with our Retirement Trust Fund Money!

By the way, All of the money stolen from our Retirement Trust Funds has no plan to pay it back (with all of the Baby-Boomers getting ready to retire soon) and no way to pay it back! However, all of the money borrowed from the 12 foreign countries have a plan to pay it back and with high interest!!!

The Republican Guard and their 10 year hold on our economy has made big bucks for them!!! But not for the middle-class! How many jobs have they sent over-seas in order to pay less for labor??? MILLIONS OF JOBS OUTSOURCED!!! Henry Ford always said that he wanted to pay his workers a good salary so that they would be able to buy his cars and if they spent their money in their communities, then others would be able to buy his cars!!! But his own grandson, ruined it for Americans and don't cry for Ford or GM, since China now has so much money from U.S. Corporations and so many U.S. jobs, Ford and GM are the First and Third in car sales in China making big money!!!

We have been screwed over by our own wealthy who pay little or NO INCOME TAX!!! 52% of all Foreign and American Corporations functioning in the U.S. pay NO INCOME TAX!!! Obama wants them to pay their fair share!!! They use the bridges, the parks, the roadways, and such...why shouldn't they pay something!!! Many American Corporations send their money to the Cayman Islands to off-shore accounts in order not to pay money including Halliburton and its subsidiaries with Cheney making over 4000% increase in stock options in Halliburton since he took office in 2000!

If people only payed attention to some of the things some of the time...if they stopped text messaging once in a while and googled information about what is going on and getting the answers!!! If the No Child Left Behind didn't cause a limiting of knowledge to our children instead of opening their minds to everything then we wouldn't have so many who don't know how to think for themselves!!!

Buffett Warned Us in 2003

By the way, Warren Buffet doesn't have to answer to anyone about anything!!! So all of the sour notes in these comments are not appropriate! The thing is that he could have shouted from the rooftops about what he felt would happen, what everyone should have done, and when to do it!!!

When several people that I know were trying to help people ready to be foreclosed upon refinance...those institutions wouldn't even pick-up their phones! I know that many mortgage brokers and other concerned groups tried to help advocate on behalf of all of those people now suffering. but These So and So's had made their money and they figured that they would grab up the foreclosures and resell them in a packaged deal to some other group...as they usually do anyway!!!
DID ANYONE START TO MONITOR AND CONTROL?...NO! Do they care that they are having to use more Taxpayer's money to bail them out again...NO!

I wrote to the Federal Reserve a year ago warning of these issues! The response by a person with the initials (they didn't even want to put their name to the email-the coward!) was as follows:

John McCain has sat back and watched this whole financial meltdown happen and has not offered one ounce of anything to change or control or do something constructive about it!

The 72 year old...had many decades to watch, decide, and act as a U.S. Senator, to defend the taxpayers of the U.S. However, he has voted over 90% with Bush to actually destroy America's Economy and ship our jobs overseas!!!

Despite all of the lies and omissions by the McCain Campaign and the Republican Party...desperate to retain power and their tax loopholes...including his own 2nd wife's immense wealth, he has NEVER STOOD UP TO THIS ADMINISTRATION WHO HAS USED AND ABUSED THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER'S MONEY..spending it like drunken sailors and into the pockets of Special Interests, Corporate America, the Warmongers, and Foreign Countries... anyone who will help the rich get richer!!!

Did you hear McCain speaking up for the Katrina Victims, about the Millions of Foreclosures....people out in the street, children homeless due to predatory lending practices...the tricks, the omission of what the Mortgage documents actually meant, the benefits to the mortgage and lending companies to use subprime mortgages in the first place!!!

WaMu on the Brink

The Bush administration is planning to sell the United Arab Emirates an advanced U.S. missile defense system valued at up to $7 billion that could be used to defend against Iran, people who have attended briefings on the matter said on Monday.

The Pentagon is set to notify the U.S. Congress of the proposed sale, which would be the first of the so-called Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, several people familiar with the matter said.

Maybe the Bush Administration is selling this in order to make up the deficits caused by all of these buy-outs!!! I have no clue why the United Arab Emerits is purchasing this. It is a Muslim Country and would never fight Iran. They have a free-trade zone with Iran and everything there is friendly. I think the UAE is buying this just because they can...and the US is selling it because they have to!!!

Either way...it is a damn shame that we are selling weaponry and high-tech weaponry at that... because our coffers are empty. We have sold some of our Infrastructure...ports... toll roads, etc.

What really bothers me is that this administration, since 2000 has borrowed over $5.1 TRILLION DOLLARS from all of the Trust Funds including the Military Retirement Trust Fund, the Federal Employee Retirement Trust Fund, the Railroad Retirement Trust Fund, the American Indian Trust Funds and worst of all....they have siphoned over $1.4 TRILLION DOLLARS ALONE FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND. There is no plan to pay it back and no possible way to pay it back. That is why they pushed for privitization!

BUSH set up in 2000 for U.S. Corporations to go abroad and "globalize", On August 12, 2008, Reuters reports that — Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said.

The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S. companies doing business in the United States PAID NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX for at least one year between 1998 and 2005.

More than half of FOREIGN companies and about 42 percent of U.S. companies PAID NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX for two or more years in that period, the report said.

During that time corporate sales in the United States totaled $2.5 TRILLION, according to Democratic Sens. Carl Levin of Michigan and Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, who requested the GAO study.

The report did not name any companies. The GAO said corporations escaped paying federal income taxes for a variety of reasons including operating losses, tax credits and an ability to use transactions within the company to shift income to low tax countries.

With the U.S. BUDGET DEFICIT this year running close to the record $413 billion that was set in 2004 and projected to hit a record $486 BILLION NEXT YEAR, lawmakers are looking to plug holes in the U.S. tax code and generate more revenues.

Dorgan in a statement called the report "a shocking indictment of the current tax system." Levin said it made clear that "too many corporations are USING TAX TRICKERY to send their profits overseas and avoid paying their fair share in the United States."

Note: (YES LIKE HALLIBURTON (and it's many subsidiaries like Black Water) who sent their money to the Cayman Islands, but now has moved the the United Arab Emerits from Houston....Halliburton also defied U.S. Sanctions against Iran and have multi-year, multi-Billion Dollar contracts with Iran to renovate their old oil refineries and build new ones for them. By the end of 2006, Dick Cheney's stock options in Halliburton had increased over 4000% since he took office in 2000!!!!

The study showed about 28 percent of large FOREIGN corporations, those with more than $250 MILLION in assets, DOING BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES.... paid no federal income taxes in 2005 despite $372 BILLION DOLLARS in gross receipts, the senators said. About 25 percent of the LARGEST U.S. COMPANIES PAID NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX in 2005 despite $1.1 trillion in gross sales that year, they said.

So, IN CASE THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER IS A LITTLE UNDER-EDUCATED, the fox has been guarding the hen house....and us hens AND ROOSTERS are, to say the least, up the creek without a paddle!!!
